It's also why I hate the "Remake is a sequel" theory

I think some of the changes that the Remake did were fantastic

The new wall market, Jessie's tour on the plates, Roche etc were all such fun things and I don't mind those changes

But then there's the whispers, the potential Zack is alive things and it's just....I hate that

Agreed, like intergrade did a great job making me care about Yuffie

Like nevermind these being different, it also just feels like it goes against the themes of the original game

As of right now, I'm interested to see what they do with Zack because I do believe that there is something cool that they'll be able to do with that while not ruining the impact of the original, but I don't have full faith that they'll approach it in a good way

Rebirth from what they have shown, so far, seems to be doing everything I loved about Remake. What I am afraid of are the things they haven't shown yet.

Knowing Square tho the final trailer will be spoiling a firetruck ton so I guess it won't be long till I find out

As for the whispers, again I think there's something there that could be interesting and I personally really like the whispers boss fight at the end but I'm not really sure how they're gonna influence the story and that kinda worries me

with how well they knocked it out of the park imo for the bigger things in remake, i have higher than usual hopes for rebirth

Oh yeah same, like I'm super excited for it and I'm kinda lucky since I don't have much context for the OG but like if they do change that one scene, I will be a bit disappointed but otherwise I'm excited to see more of the story

My issue comes with it feels like square wants Remake trilogy to replace the original game, that's what I don't like
