theres a movie trilogy that came out that recapped the anime but changed stuff

then a sequel movie that follows that timeline

and this new one is the 5th that also follows that timeline

this makes much more sense

im 20 minutes into R3 but it looks like im going back for the recaps........

there's a couple of ways they can handle it. for one, they can just drop his storylines completely, which would probably be the worst move since they already started to set him up as the next thanos. or they could use renslayer from the loki series and have her replace him (she impersonated him in the comics for a period of time so there's precedent for it). they could recast him and call it a variant. or, the unfortunately likely outcome: this changes nothing and they continue on
