seamless original compilation story that will be available in comparison to the remake that seems to be taking a turn in a different direction

but yeah i would have rather paid for the chapters than have to pay for characters and weapons

not sure a gacha where you use wrong characters everywhere is gonna make sense

Yes in the sense that it's free and it's not something super major
No on the sense that if you really hate Gatcha like most of NA does, then you're gonna always be bitter about it and if it was a pay as you go then you don't have the Gatcha mechanisms

and yeah of course it's also just to keep the hype up for future remake parts

It's still a weird line of how people should treat mobile games

Like I think they should be given a chance and Ever Crisis might be a good way to go about it

But there are plenty who would sooner boycott them than even look at them

I've only played very little of the octopath mobile game but it actually does the gacha formula really well from what i can tell. I'm excited for it to come to the US

the story translations online are great, and the gameplay so far doesn't rely on you pulling for travelers

I'm guessing endgame content will of course change that thought

but the story is so deep and big with lots of sidequests to do that i actually forget it's a gacha game while I'm playing lol

so hopefully that carries over to ever crisis

it'll still definitely be weird using characters outside of their story

maybe it won't be character, just equipment or something

people speculating about aerith fighting guardian scorpion in a screenshot

we can see aerith being used in the scorpion battle, but maybe that just means we can redo story with our currently unlocked characters

could just be a test fight they made quickly

cause a gacha with only 9 characters to play is weird, same with using sephiroth against sephiroth, would be weird, it jsut doesn't work in this game

maybe it'll be like opera omnia with chars unlocked per chapter and weapons are the gacha that unlock abilities as well
