had rumours about it back in 2005 for the DS

same name, 2D Metroid game, heck the name was even referenced in Metroid Prime 3

It got a new patch today, might have solved your issue

fun fact, that patch notes for that update say it fixed bugs and fixed a few crashing probIems

l then experienced my first crash within the game next time l booted it up LOL
