The UI is very interesting in this

I need to sit down and watch the trailer, I just got home

Oh

I loved, in the 16 trailer, how hard they put over the summons lol- Ifrit and crew never looked cooler

And they always looked cool in the first place

It reminds me of another game but I can't quite put my finger on it

The button layout on the right corner is very similar

Probably, I was looking more at the top left

The O button seems to be the special attack like there

But here it's for summons

Ohh then probably FF14

That might be it, it's been a sec since I've logged on

The character models are looking much better

Everything is looking better about it tbh

Like it already looked good, but this was the first trailer that made me be like "well firetruck I GOTTA get this now" lol

I am so glad Odin is in this

Also I love that the summon names were in the song

This trailer seems to confirm no party members

But summons are playing a larger role

Oh yeah it also looks like you are gonna play as Ifrit

The giant brute in the trailer is Titans, and the woman in the meeting is Garuda

So pressing L2 changes the Eikon and it looks pretty snappy

Judging from the trailer, it's safe to assume that the UI interface looks like it borrows heavily from Dragons Dogma and DMC , which isn't surprising because it's Ryota Suzuki who's in charge of the combat direction, as far as it looks it looks like FF Tactics and 14 had a baby

I absolutely see what you mean with the comparison

I am excited

I'm pretty sure the partymembers system might be like the Tactics series as well, probably random generated with different jobs and Clive being the main playable

I am not sure if there will be party members, I couldn't see any

But Eikons are absolutely playing a larger role giving Clive a lot more weapons for each one he has

Hopefully the Eikons have some personality to them to off set the whole no party thing

Stray gonna be good too. Play as cat. What else you want lol

Although it is too early to tell at the moment, it could play like Lightning Returns and Crisis Core in that effect, but then again Dragons Dogma party UI everyone had their health bars overhead on the characters instead of on screen

OKay so I wasn't seeing things, Garuda straight up ripped out Ifrit's arm

Dominances feel akin to L'Cie from FF Type-0

Yeah they have that vibe, especially how they are treated

But so far combat showcase does look promising at least

Seems like the overall plot is gonna be going to each nation beating their dominances ass and taking their Eikon for yourself

Maybe to have enough strength to ultimately fold Ifrit or find some way to separate yourself from him
