They are apparently working on more Avatar stuff so I think there will be a show post Korra with a new avatar

But I feel like the movies should focus on old avatars

Well I heard Netflix was making a live action show, and, I know they put out some YA books but that was all I'd heard of; this is news to me

From what I understand, people who worked on the original show were also on the live action project with Netflix but they left for some reason. They then got a deal with a studio to create more Avatar content, which includes the movies above and shows.

I know how it'll go too. Those creators; I've seen most shows they've done, besides these and Voltron:

First season is always really good. Tight, constrained, focused. Then season 2 is when they start "responded to fans/criticism" through the show and the quality suffers

3 season on is 50/50.

I recall trying to get into Avatar when I was younger. Trouble was, our family only had cable at the time. And, of course TV runs on a strict schedule, so I missed a good number of episodes and had trouble keeping up with the plot. Might try getting back into it now that streaming is a thing.

Honestly, praise the lord for streaming. Being able to watch anime whenever I want 24/7/365 is life changing!

kyoshi movie is something lots of people have been asking for (well, more kyoshi anyway, not specifically a movie), and it'll be good since her whole thing is "i got shit done and was a badass while doing it" which is just a little one-dimensional, ngl

something about creative differences. sounds like some decisions were made that the 2 of them just didn't agree with (which probably means it's gonna suffer as a result)

on one hand, l’m happy to see that the peopIe from the originaI aren’t going to Iose their touch (if it turned out to be bad)
on the other hand, l’ve become a bit more skepticaI towards the show because of said creative differences
