Sam’s Unwarranted Disney Opinions Ed. 2: Lightyear (spoilers because duh)

||Unlike 90% of people talking about this film, my opinion on it seems to fall squarely in the middle. I wasn’t blown away by Lightyear yet it also didn’t feel like a waste of time.

Overall, I’m reasonably pleased with how the plot was executed and the reasoning behind it. Canonically, I can see this being a reasonable inspiration for the action figure. Though I doubt an openly gay couple would have made it into a 90’s film.

The part where things get iffy for me is the plot. While I enjoyed Buzz’s character development, I also can’t help feeling that Zurg may have had a point and that he was overlooking a more practical solution. I mean, isn’t he right? You can’t miss someone you never met in the first place, can you?

Actually, the time travel shit seems unnecessary in general. I feel like simply letting Zurg be Zurg would have made fire a more compelling conflict than having him be Buzz’s future self. Could have made for a more interesting decision on Buzz’s part too.

What complete and utter BS. I don't know WTF Nintendo thinks they are doing... but this ain't it. I don't know why they think they can just do NOTHING* while everyone else shows stuff off... but if they want to LOSE TO PLAYSTATION**... that's their choice I guess. I don't want to hear *anything more* about E3 not being needed. This **PROVES** that it is *ABSOLUTELY needed. End of story.
