yknow im really glad development is going so smoothly and is the smoothest they've had. but it makes me wonder why the silence for years, and I'd also love for them to speak up more about ML's cancellation and what will come of it tbh

if it really is true that development is great, then it really must have been the nvidia leak that forced their hands on that particular teaser

if these are the most detailed worlds we're getting then those years of silence had plenty of development time and that's great to hear

Maybe they wanted to see what would happen- I mean we did get consistent-ish news for KH3 but there was still unrest and what not

Perhaps they saw the criticism of "showing too much" or "too much too early" so they thought "aight bet" so they decided, we'll drop this, and just leave until we're ready.

Maybe feeling the need to update on KH3 all the time made them feel stressed or pressured?

i think their plan was always to keep it quiet until this year(or whenever the year before the release date happened to be) to avoid another KH3 situation. the nvidia leak ruined that plan and made them throw out a "teaser" first which unfortunately started the hype train too early once again even though it was explicitly listed as a teaser lol

in hindsight i'm happy with how KH4 is being handled, but I'm still genuinely upset about ML and the lack of transparency with that

with everything we're getting about 4 now though, i'm a little bit more hopeful with the idea that ML is already being reworked into something else behind the scenes

or melded into 4's story i guess
