I am personally glad that they cancelled the game because I don't like the idea of a story being locked behind a gacha game.

At the same time how they handled this game and communication was just an absolute disaster and failure. And it's unfortunately not only Missing Link that has this issue

These communication issues and poor marketing should absolutely not be tolerated. KH4 has the same issue

it's super frustrating to be a fan of this franchise

It's completely normal to feel disappointed that this got cancelled, but you aren't owed information on development of a game.

Trailers are just marketing and you pay for the product, there isn't more to it
