knew Sora's previous life. Though I guess that goes into the convo on whether or not Sora should have one or who it should be.

Hard to say. I do like Sora being as detached from the greater myth as possible though- it really plays into the whole "a simple guy not connected to anything can make a difference."

Or rather "the right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world", if you will.

I guess it's all something that can work either way since the philosophy is anyone can be special which means in any previous life Sora could have just been seen as a normal unremarkable person by all the masterminds and 'important' people, but he still manages to make an impact on the future by being the right person at the wrong time. Like say if the red head becomes a friend to the Player character and manages to help him in a simple way that ends up being important down the line. Player character is basically the Sora before Sora in some aspects. Sora just ends up being seen as the most 'Hero' character by the end his story.

Like you said, hard to say. I'm fine either way because the way KH does things is everyone is special it's just some choose not to live up to their potential while others can squander it. Characters like Sora are the ones who make the hard choices to push on and are made worthy by it rather than just being born with it all from the get-go or being treated as special.

Lol, it probably doesn't hurt Nomura is a fan of star wars so he got some of his inspiration from that. I'm hoping if SW is in KH it's Return of the Jedi. That would totally fit in Kh and destiny the most.

Crying game was a movie- and I get it not liking star wars- after that sequel trilogy that's how I feel about it

But to say it'll "ruin Kingdom Hearts" or whatever people say when the topic comes up, is a bit over dramatic.

KH survived time travel, an important chunk of the lore being in a mobile game, and KH3, I think it’ll be okay with Star Wars being added if they decide to.

Tbh (I think i said this somewhere else) I think the time travel system works quite well, it just was at its clunkiest in the game it was introduced.
