I want all the eikons to fight semi primed no cutscenes, also to go primed like odin did during the fight

Ok so just finished FF Mode and some ultimania.
So now I can give my overall score for the game and about FF Mode.

It was a nice second playthrough having everything in the beginning.

Sadly not much harder then it just being more damage taken and higher health enemies.
Though the fights are a lot more fun because of it.

I hope they add a Mode where we can fight every eikon like the a data orgs in KH

Ultimania has conditions that you have to play the dungeons by so makes the difficulty a bit harder.

So overall score is 9/10 :crystal:

If they do make a sequel I hope they take what they've gotten from feedback and improve upon it.

FF mode should have been base difficulty. everything dies way too fast in normal mode.normal enemies or mid bosses shouldn't die after 1 stagger or even 1 eikon ability (in the case of normal mobs). game needs also level scaling. overleveling is way too easy. Imagine how remake would play if you kill most of the mobs just by using 1 weakness atb ability (though it happens in some cases it happened way less in remake)

Thoughts on the story?

I agree with this, it shouldve been an option, but I get it since they want people to be focused on the story first I guess

I just don't get that excuse. Like if it's something like the new God of War games I can kinda understand, those characters talk a lot during gameplay but even then they still give you difficulty options. But in this game the characters barely do. What story are you supposed to be focusing on when the characters barely talk in the gameplay.

Personally, I agree they should have had the option for at least FF difficulty out the gate.

And to Otti's point, yeah there's a lot of story but, and im not saying it's not deep but, there's not nearly as much to unpack as other games, nevermind an FF game.

So how is ffxvi ?
Just asking and a bit curious what the people here are thinking because you guys probably also played kh games.

it was a great story and some side quests really help build out the world, aswell as characters

good combat system, good story, good world building and lore, lack of rpg elements and zone exploration. It's basically an offline FF14 expansion and comes with all the good and bad of FFXIV. This game has the most insane boss fights and a lot of really cool and subtle references to other FF games

If I ever find a PS5 someday I am going to pick it up then.
But I am still waiting for KH4 and more FF games.

this game hits all the right spots for me in terms of story, I just wished they allowed us to choose a higher difficulty just not that satisfying when it just hands you the gameplay like youre a child.

NG+ will fix that however, which is gonna be a required experience at this point

There’s a trophy/achievement for beating the game on fantasy mode, so they expect you to replay it

most games do also and yet the highest difficulty isnt locked
