Posted February 12, 201114 yr Did anyone notice how there were no cutscenes from Port Royal in the opening scene for Re: coded. Does that have anything to do with licenseing issues. You know, like how Deep Jungle was?
February 12, 201114 yr No, it has nothing to do with licensing issues. They just didn't include it in the opening.
February 12, 201114 yr Deep Jungle stopped being owned by Disney (To put it simply), so it isn't featured in KH anymore. Disney still has the rights to PotC though. I'm betting they just couldn't fit it into the intro, given the length of the song.
February 13, 201114 yr Yeah. Disney owns PotC, since it's based on one of the rides at Disneyland. I heard that after the first movie, they added Jack Sparrow to the ride.
February 13, 201114 yr Actully Jack is in PoTC Ride now. Oh thats sad, well maybe they also were bord or soemthing.
February 13, 201114 yr Actully Jack is in PoTC Ride now. That's what I said. oops sorry i guess i reaqdy that wrong. still it was recaping certian events form KH-KH2 so, i guess they only picked the "important" ones.
February 13, 201114 yr Like what Rue said, Port Royal just wasn't important enough to the plot to include in the opening.
February 13, 201114 yr I don't know about you guys, but I think it's pretty damn stupid that Deep Jungle got taken out because of that "licenes" fiasco. Who cares if you're making more money.
February 14, 201114 yr Author Like what Rue said, Port Royal just wasn't important enough to the plot to include in the opening. But why wouldn't it be? I mean they had other worlds like Atlantica that was just as important as Port Royal was in KH II.
February 14, 201114 yr It's because the data used was only from Jimminy's first journal which was only based on the first game and was deleted then overwritten in CoM so there was no record of Port Royal. This is also why Sora and Riku were in their original models. As for Atlantica and the others system wise the original couldnt hold that much data as it was a mobile game story wise Data Sora only went to worlds the were corrupted by bugs so the ones from KH that were cut out were probably clean.

He was only talking about the opening, not the actual game.
February 14, 201114 yr Still Port Royal was the only Disney Based World in KH2 with absolutely no in world connection to the previous titles. Others where either ones he had been to before or where the homes of people he had met. (Peter Pan summon doesn't count because a; it's completely missable and b; unlike gems charms physically transport the summon to Soras location not just the spirit) @hatok We don't know if he actually knew other wielders, only the he knew the legends. I mean they had other worlds like Atlantica that was just as important as Port Royal was in KH II. well technically they did fight Ursula there, who was part of the plan to take all the hearts in the first game, so I can understand why that would be in there, but there was next to nothing but slight fanservice in Port Royal, just meeting Luxord and fighting a boss........ Like every other world has something else more important happen, EVERY other world (except 100 Acre Wood and Tron place)
February 15, 201114 yr Like what Rue said, Port Royal just wasn't important enough to the plot to include in the opening. But why wouldn't it be? I mean they had other worlds like Atlantica that was just as important as Port Royal was in KH II. Atlantica has the whole 'King Triton knew previous keyblade wielders' element.
February 15, 201114 yr Importance would be one of the reasons it isn't included, but it's also harder to animate than the rest, and would almost look out of place among with the rest of the worlds. Did they include Halloween Town, because if they didn't it would probably be for the same reasons.

Like every other world has something else more important happen, EVERY other world (except 100 Acre Wood and Tron place) Tron's world was actually very important. And the world actually played a vital part in the role of the orginzation's plans. And even if it wasn't important, they still wouldn't just leave it out.
February 17, 201114 yr It doesn't really matter if it's important or not. They picked the ones they picked because they wanted to. They chose not to pick Port Royal. You should just accept that fact. Who knows, maybe they couldn't find a spot to squeeze it in? Or it could be as someone else said, the look of the world wouldn't fit in with the other worlds.
June 28, 201213 yr Maybe I'm weird, but I still don't get why disney doesn't own Tarzan anymore @.@ propably because they never came up with acctual Tarzan story
