In 5th Grade, my teacher handed out flyers for a Drama Club. And I thought to my self, hey, that's pretty cool, I think I will join. But when I join, it is a disaster. At first I thought it was ok. But then my role was horrible. I was technically an important character but not even an important line.

 

Pretty much what happened was that I carried a large sign acrossed the stage that said, "Appalause" and I only had two lines, plus a role call (which doesn't even count anyway). And when I asked for a bigger role when people were leaving, all they did was give the sign to someone else (because of my bitching that I didn't want to carry a sign around, it was ridculous). This totally goes to the guy who didn't even cared to play his part, and wasn't speaking it like he really wanted to do this. And yet, no one kicked him out. So out of all the characters, I barly got any lines, and so, I was the least important character.

 

And thank god, I am not joining another one. Don't care. And my advice...DON'T DO IT!!!! It's not worth it, and it is a waste of time. This is my opinion though.

 

They are too much drama...get it, drama, drama club. ROFLMAOFTW!!! ...Just kidding lol.

Lol well i'm home schooled so i don't have to worry about DRAMA clubs!

I've always hated Drama, plus all the plays the drama club at my school do are really bad, and our drama teacher makes everyone (even the people who don't want to do it) do it. its really crappy. hopefully we don't have to do it this year

I love drama. The high school I'm goin to in a few years has the best high school plays in the entire state.

lol i have never considered joining drama club and never will just because of the fact you have to speak in front of a lot of people and I have a very big phobia of stage fright...

besides, they're making some dumb play called "animal farm" at my school. ya know, the book? if anyone has read it then you know what I mean. how they're going to act as animals, I have no idea o.O (dress up as piggies! 8D!)

Improvising in front of other classmates was pretty tough, but just don't think about it and not be afraid to act or speak in front of people because believe me a lot of talking and acting goes on today of course and with voice acting too. You can't just sit there in front of a mic, you have to feel it too and do crazy movements with your hands and what not to feel the emotion of the character and also rehearse in front of a lot of people to finally get the right tone and voice for the character. Drama was actually pretty fun and I played in a lot of plays at my school, sometimes I was the smallest role I could get and then I got better at it and got into the bigger roles. You gotta like what you get and show them what you got. It sounds to me like they chased you outta there and you didn't stand up to shrug it off, but if you didn't like then you didn't like it and you moved on.

yeah i hope it won't as bad as some people say...I always find myself making facial expressions when I do fandubs, so I think that i'll do fine on improv.

yeah you will :] everyone does something different or make facial expressions or any kind of movement for their acting. You just gotta make it fun for yourself lol

There is no Drama club in my school, but sometimes my English teacher chooses people to go act some stuff from the textbook. Yesterday we read "Clever Katya" and then she chose 5 boys to act it. When the Czar said to Katya "Will you marry me?" everyone Laughed so hard and when they finished the teacher asked ask what do we think and then the Czar said "I don't wanna be gay and I don't like that Katya."
