They're rumors. That means they're either false, or we have no clue as of yet. Although... it would be cool if he did come back.

Yeah, has to be a rumor...no one could no that yet with the lack of news on KH3, that is, if there really has been news at all. Would be interesting though if he did show up.

the rumours of Venitas making his return in KH3 are just that, rumours, but since it's so obvious that Ven will return in KH3 I dont see y venitas wouldent be able to come back since MX will need both him & ven if he intends to make the X-blade again.

Not to mention that it would be a complete waste to make a villain who looks like Sora yet not bring him back during Sora's storyline. Though, which game he would come back in if he does no one knows.

I can agree with Oishii. For all we know he might even appear in KH:DDD somewhere instead of KH3 or maybe both, but it's hard to see him in DDD as a possibility.

Where did he say this? The only thing I could think of is that the possible implication of this in saying they wanted to preserve the consistencey of the plot when adding armor of the master and no heart (which are also said to be the remaining thoughts and feelings of" ") so that would mean vanitas' spirit, assuming that it isn't cannon would detract from the consistency of the plot. Void gear also looks painfully similar to no name.

I'm pretty sure it's Terra's Lingering Spirit that he said was canon.
