I've been thinking about getting a FF game and I was wondering which one would be one of the best. So far I either want FFXIII or Crisis Core. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. :D

FF13. Crisis Core gets kind of repetitive after a while. I personally found FF13 to be a lot better. A lot better graphics obviously, better gameplay and a better story.

Yeah Definitly Final Fantasy XIII. It's my favorite FF game. And the best FF game of all time. And That's why they made a 2nd one. lol

FFXIII thats better but FFCC is a grate one too but FFXIII is better. AND FFX.

Buy FF7. If not, Crisis Core: FF7.

I have to say you probably want to buy Crisis Core.

The only argument to buy FFXIII is, that it is indeed a nice eyecandy. I assume you want to buy a FF game because u want a good Story and maybe watch awesome cutscenes, well FF crisis core has both of thouse trademarks that defines the Final Fantasy series and on top of that it has one of the best soundracks ever,.while the story in FFXIII, is boring as hell and has no real emotions at all.

Personaly I think FFXIII is not worth the money and should not be called Final Fantasy, but I think you have to dicide which game u want to buy.

how about dissidia? they all have final fantasy characters :)

i vote u get ff13 then when ff13-2 comes out get that as well

noo! don't get XIII! couldn't finish it cause it got too boring...

Get VII or crisis core, fantastic games :D

crisis core definetely

FFXIII. It's the best FF game I've ever played/seen.

Crisis Core is an action game, so considering you like KH, it's a good bet you'll like it.

Just warning you, FF13 takes a LONG time to get to the real part. You can smash the X button for almost the entire game, and win, because the game has such a good auto battle system. And believe me when I say that autobattle is the only practical way to fight. Really the only thing you'll get by the end is constant paradigm shifting. It's a good game, but if you're putting it up against other FF's, it's definitely not the best.

It's like Rob said, get FF7, not Crisis Core. The older FF's are the best. I can't tell from this post, do you have the other FF games? Is it an option to get them? Because you'll probably get more bang fro your buck with FF6 through 10. But I'd say FF4-10+12 are all better than XIII (I only did not include FF11 because it's an MMO and I haven't played it)

Crisis Core was alright, but after the first time through I wasn't really inspired to go back for stuff. Stupid New Game+...

However, I'm at almost 100 hours in XIII going back for everything. I totally love XIII more than the other numbered titles and would recommend it with all of my heart.

I'll say it: XIII was better than VII!

FF4 the complete collection is awesome.

But answer this; do you know WHY it's better?

I say Final Fantasy X. It was my first one, and got me hooked on the series. It’s just a good one to start out with.

It has an amazing story, and the best FF love story to date (but I know people will argue this last bit). I also really like the battle system. And if you like cutscenes, this entire game is mostly told through them.

It’s also amazing because it was the first FF for PS2, the first one with amazing graphics, the first one with voiceovers, the first one where you could switch party members during battle… it’s just amazing!

It was also the first FF to warrant a sequel, and the first FF (in that sequel) to have the player play as a girl. However, I really do have issues with X-2. Play X, but maybe not X-2.

The only thing I liked about X-2 was a few of the new characters, the fact that a certain someone can come back, and the Shuyin/Lenne story. But most of it—the missions to get one hundred percent—were God-awful. You pretty much had to marry your Strategy Guide to accomplish anything. Actually, that entire game might as well have been marketing the uses of Strategy Guides.

But yeah, the original X’s amazing. It’s my favorite, and I’d play it first if I were you.

This is pretty true, FFX is a pretty good starter. Older FF's might be too hard to start with, but newer FF's are so different that they won't really prepare you for the rest. Might be a bit hard to track down at a store though, but it's pretty easy to find online.

Personally, I like FFXIII the best, but I think they're all great, and any one of them would be fun to play. (:

Ahem, I think you should save up money and get BOTH games and see which you like bestest. Personally, I've never played FF13, but I own Crisis Core, and I'm IN LOVE WITH IT. My sister first got me hooked when I was, like, 4. I used to watch her play all her FF games (We own FF9, FF8, and now FF7:CC) and I was soooo interested. I still play them all the time and never get tired of them. So, I think you should get Crisis Core. It has an AWESOME story and HAWT guys, plus the characters have real emotions. I know that when I saw the end I cried!! xD

This reminds me, I've love the cutscenes in CC. I didn't cry, but I definitely smiled at a lot of the cutscenes, they're definitely enjoyable. The ending IS sad though :(

FFVII or FFVII CC xP I'm currently working on X a well, and it's a really good game so far, great story. Crisis Core was amazing (mostly because my favorite character Zack was in it), and the story was so good, almost made me cry T_T

Its your choice, really. I prefer FF IV through IX, as these ones had the best characters and storylines.
