So yesterday me, om and sister went to watch Smurfs 3D. It was fun, I laughed a lot, except I felt really sick and the popcorn smell make me want to throw up throughout the whole movie.

Anyway, while we were going back home, we started talking about how there was a guy in the movie from extreme makeover and how all guys on that show were gay and...

Well we started talking about gay people.

We agreed that there was nothing wrong with being gay, and I told them about how my friend was against gays. They told me not to try to force my opinions into his mind, and I told them about how he said Gays aren't men.

And my mom was like, "But they AREN'T".

I seriously felt like jumping in there and punching her on the face. We also talked about how my father was against gays/lesbians and my mom was talking to my sister about how "We wouldn't like to find out you're a lesbian, because we have a whole future planned for you."

I seriously got depressed. Gah.

Then I told my mom about Bi people. She said how they were like, in-between. Not men, not Women, just... things.

Just. Kill. Me.

And my sister was like, "Well, bi people just have to decide, eventually." That's when i lost patience.

"Bi people don't decide whether they love women or men! They're just people who can and will feel attracted to both sexes and both genders!"

And she was like "Hum, yeah, right, I know."

My father seems to be suspicious. he keeps asking me if there is anything I'd like to tell him or talk about, and how I shouldn't hide or be afraid to tell him anything.

I just don't know anymore...

wow your family is so judgemental. ignore them and stick to your opinion!

my family is the the same >.>

okay this is what you should do tell your mom and dad that your gay if they really do love you they would't care if your gay good luck dude

I'm so sorry, Kinode! It's awful when your family doesn't understand things like this. You could tell them, and try showing them how it doesn't change you. Try explaining to them that if they loved you before you told them, and you aren't going to change, then they should still feel the same about you. Or, for now, you always have the option of not telling them for a while until you get your courage up.

sorry if u find this offensive but ur parents r ignorant ppl that have homophobia . but my advice is like everyones elses just ignore them!

Kinode if u think ur dad maybe suspicious and he told u not to be afraid of talking to him , then talk them and just be you . There ur parents they should love u no matter what happens . And the smurf movie sucks so bad  . No but really talk them is the best thing u can do. Or just ignore them .

Geez, that's pretty rough. Just ignore them.

Whoa, that sucks man.

Just be yourself and ignore them.

If they don't accept for who you are, they're not worth of your time.

My dad asked me if i was ever bi-curious ETC. and i told him only 1 time when i was 13, but i was only for like a month. now that i am straight, he told me he would he loves me no matter what. but my mom on the other hand would do what she said "I WOULD DISOWN YOU IF YOU WERE GAY" She's very religious..

Just tell them. We're a pretty religious family, and when I announced I was Atheist, they were mad, but they accepted me. Just tell them. If they don't accept you, then they're just horrible people. :(
