Hello guys. I've sent this first part of the story to some members here, and they liked it a lot. So, I thought it'd be better to share it with everyone. Hope you like it

 

 

 

A Frightful Prevision

 

At a night, of May 29th of the year 2049, to be exact, something strange happened. But, before discovering what occurred, it’s better to know what had been happening in some time before that day. In the next lines, you will be able to read and put your imagination to work -- or at least give it a try -- in order to understand everything that this story has to tell.

 

-> March 11th <-

 

Today was an excellent day. Why? Because I got a promotion, and the rumors of some kind of “threat” coming to earth have been almost completely destroyed.. But, there are still some people who believe that we may be in risk of facing the last days of our lives -- of the humanity.

 

There were already many people who predicted a lot of things like that, but in the end, we are still here and alive, after all. Yet again, it’s still too early to say that this prediction is completely impossible to happen... Even I, who was instructed to calm the people, and tell them not to panic, still have doubts if this is really only a false rumor, or if it’ll really happen... But I pray that it doesn’t happen.

 

However, you might be interested in knowing what that prevision has to say.. But I think it’s still to early for me to tell it.. After all, what IS supposed to happen is only in some months, so I’ll tell about it in the near future. At least I managed to accomplish my duty; the people seems to be more calm now. We just need to carry on with our normal lives, that’s it. No need to worry.

It has already passed some days since I last wrote in this diary. I can’t believe I am really enjoying this -- although it was an idea of my own daughter. But, returning to the main subject, there are more and more people supporting that prediction.. My duty has become very hard, even though people do respect me. When I’m not around, many of them begin to talk about it. I have been busy during this time I was off.. Me and the other politics -- we need to make sure that the people are not attracted by that idea -- but what if, we ourselves are?

 

I am not saying I believe in it, but I can’t tell the contrary as well.. Something just tells me this is not really wrong at all. But, who knows? It might be only my imagination. Maybe I’m just getting old. With almost fifty years, it’s hard to face what I face everyday. Well, let’s stop talking about my personal life... My main goal with this is to find out more about the rumors...

 

So, as I’ve said before, many people continue to fight for these ideas... And look, we haven’t fought since 1927... And, with our own people.. Where will this world end? Can’t people have different opinions without respecting the others? Maybe this is really the end of this race -- which was once a pure and good race, in which people treated the others well, and not only worried about their interests, the money -- its name? Humanity.

 

But, if we think properly, this wouldn’t be a bad end at all.. You might be calling me a crazy or something like that, but see: We’ve killed thousands of animals, and don’t come with the argument: “we need to eat”, because in those thousands, many were only killed because men have their own interests.. They want to make new things, and don’t care with what or who they have to cross down to achieve their goals. With time, the humans have been more and more selfish.

 

I remember.. In thirty years ago, we weren’t so bad as we are today. We had water, but what have we done with it? We spent it without caring about the consequences.. And who is going to pay for that? We. It can be sooner or later, but we will end paying for what we’ve done. Nowadays, it’s very rare to find the old and good water. With the new technology, and since we don’t have the food we used to, we have to eat some strange things made by these scientists.. But I can’t badmouth them, can I? Because, if it weren’t for them, we might have met our end sooner.. In 2040, 91.56% of the entire rain forests of the world were completely destroyed, and with it, many species of animals, our natural resources... But I ask: Is this really good enough? We have to get rid of the forests to get more technology? Really?

 

My answer to this question is this : No, we shouldn’t have done that. But who am I to say this to the entire humanity? I would end up being killed by the owners of the factories and others.. But, while our great technology doesn’t build a Time Machine, we have to hang on. Do you know how we live today? Thanks to the Factories and their gases that have destroyed our Ozone Layer, we were forced to build new houses.. Ones with Oxygen. Why? Because it’s very rare to find some nowadays. The rays of the sun have turned the temperature to 58.5Cº, which makes it almost impossible to hold on that temperature for more than twenty minutes.

 

Ahhh.. If only I could go back to 2012 or 2014, when our world was so amazingly good to live.. But I can’t blame it, because it was our fault -- we were the ones who didn’t listen to what was right in front of us -- The terrible future we were creating. Those amazing campaigns for the reforestation.. Nowadays, it doesn’t exist anymore. The Humanity is too busy to think about protecting the less than 10% we still have.

 

Oh.. It’s late. 11:59p.m. I need to go sleep now. Might come back and write more in this diary in a week or so. Who knows? Maybe more and more people will continue to support that prevision. Bye for now.

 

->April 12th <-

 

I guess I haven’t had much time to write here. More than one week, eh? But don’t worry, I have a good reason for that. Nowadays, our population is around 5,000,000,000 of people. Why am I informing this, you ask? Because between this incredibly big number, 1,000,000,000 of people have just began to support the prevision! My duty has become more and more difficult with time. So, I have to spend most of the time doing it. I’m getting tired of it.

 

Besides that, do you know what’s the worst? The day of the prevision is coming. It’s in a bit more than one month. As time passes, I’m getting more and more frightened. I know nothing will happen, but still... What if this time, the prevision is right? Well, you might be curious to know what the prevision says. However, I’m afraid I don’t have a proper definition , since it’s strange, because there are subgroups. Some say that it foresees the end of the World, others say that it’s the end of our Planet, that the world is going to be rebuilt, that some other species are going to invade the Earth... That’s why it’s so hard to block its advance, since it has many currents.

 

Although the politicians don’t seem to believe in that, I’ve been told that they’re making some new vehicles, which are capable of flying without oil, and that can use its lasers to destroy anything. What they do not know is that, even I am building a new escape route, for myself and my family. But I can’t talk about it now. However, I am praying that I don’t need to eventually use it in the future.

 

Wait! What? My friends -- the other politics responsible for maintaining the peace between the people -- have just warned me that the leader of the prevision has been spotted! I’m sorry, but I need to go right now. If we kill him, we may have a chance to stop the rumors right from the source! I’ll try to report the results of the battle as soon as possible. This is an epic story. The music really fits in with what's happening in the story as well.

I hope the ending is as awesome as the rest of the story.

Final Battle

Part 5

 

The earthquake near the palace stopped, but another began in the city where Das was. Eirwd decided to go there, and see if he could finally say that Drak’s followers gave up.

 

But, when he arrived there, the city was completely destroyed. He saw Das, who was running, apparently she was frightened because of the earthquake. Her brother, Tligh, was nowhere to be found. Eirwd saw the moment when the area where Das was opened because of the earthquake, and she fell. He hurried to that area, and when he arrived, he saw that she did not die.

 

He then pulled her hand, and managed to save her from a painful death. Confused, she began a conversation with him.

 

“Why did you --- I don’t understand... Aren’t we enemies?” she said.

“We were. Thanks to my master Drak, I now know that we, humans, should never call each other enemies. We are all of the same kind... We should be cooperating, and not fighting among ourselves.” he said.

“So, where is your master?” she asked.

“He’s.... dead...” he replied, almost crying.

“I’m sorry... So, why did you come here?” she asked.

“Because I have to tell one of the Main Generals of your army that we give up... but with just a condition: that our religion keeps existing.” he said.

“Ohh.. Just that? Then come with me. Everything will be resolved after we talk with my brother.” she replied.

“Where is him? I don’t think he is in the city anymore...” he said.

 

Then, one of Das’ soldiers came to tell her about what had happened with her brother.

“General Das... I have to tell you that--” the soldier said.

“You can tell me that later! Where is my brother?” she asked, as if she knew that something bad had happened to him.

“General Das... Your brother... during the earthquake, which has now stopped, at least in this city... He died... He fell on a big hole... We could not even get his body for you... I’m so sorry...” the soldier said.

“My Brother? Tligh... You must be lying... It can’t be... I want to see my brother now!” she replied. She did not believe that her brother was dead.

“I’m sorry General... but that will not be possible...” the soldier replied.

“Das... I’m sorry... but he may be talking the truth...” Eirwd said.

“I... I can’t believe it! My big brother... How can he be dead? We still had so many things to do together... BROOOOOOOTHERRRRRRR!” she screamed while beginning to cry.

“Das... I’m so sorry... Tligh... He seemed to be a good guy...” Eirwd said.

“He was... BROTHER! I need you... You are the only family I have left! Why did you need to go away? I love you so much bro...” she said.

“General Das... We managed to find his diary...” the soldier said.

“My brother’s diary? I’ll keep it forever! My brother’s precious memories lie within this book... I’ll take very good care of it... Do any of you have a pen?” she asked.

“I have one Das... I also have two letters here... You will need to read one later...” Eirwd said.

“Thanks... I’ll read it later...” she replied.

 

And then she used the pen to write a sentence in the last page of Tligh’s diary.

 

“Memories from a wonderful person, who cared for everyone. We will all miss you forever, my brother. I’ll keep this diary as if it had your spirit inside it. As long as I have it, you will be with me forever.

 

From your dear sister,

Das.”

 

So, Das was the leader of Drak’s enemies now. Both her and Eirwd put an end to the war, and Drak’s religion continued to exist. The earthquakes stopped, but half of Europe was completely destroyed thanks to them.

Eirwd then remembered how his conversation with Drak was.

 

“Hello, my dear friend.”, Drak said.

“What do you want, master? Why did you want me to come here so quickly?,” he said.

“We have been fooled by Thinog and Phappy. They are planning on killing me, and ending my religion.” Drak said.

“But... Are they crazy? We’ve fought so hard to get here... and they want to ruin everything? I will kill them! You just need to say the word, master!” he said.

“No... You won’t do that... at least not now... I have formulated a plan.. and I would appreciate if you could hear, and tell me your opinion about it” Drak said.

“Ok, I’ll hear it all”, Eirwd said.

“First, I think that I won’t be able to live for much longer... Killed or not, this illness is just making me want to die...” Drak said.

“But master... You have to be alive! We need you! We wouldn’t be anything without you!” Eirwd replied.

“I’ll die sooner or later... And believe me, I will be happy to die. I will meet God! But, anyway... My plan has some steps... Pay attention to it!” Drak said.

“Okay, master.” Eirwd replied.

“First, I think that my day has really come. This illness might kill me within an hour or so. As soon as you see that I’m dead, you need to hurt my body a bit with this knife. That way, it’ll appear that you killed me, and Thinog and Phappy will be surely fooled.” Drak said.

“But master... I will never forgive myself if I bring any harm to you...” Eirwd said.

“Do not worry. You’re just doing what I want. You’re turning my wishes into reality. Isn’t that a good thing, my friend?” Drak said.

“Partly it is.. but...” Eirwd said.

“Let me continue with the plan... I am not sure if I have much time now. Then, at the night, when they will come to kill me... You’ll pretend you have killed me, and you’ll play dumb... Saying that you want to end our religion, and that you’ve always hated me...” Drak said.

“Master... I will do this, but just because you’re asking... I will never forgive myself, though.” Eirwd replied.

“You will be a hero in history. You will be responsible for restoring peace to the world.” Drak said.

“Okay, master... continue...” Eirwd said.

“Then, you’ll have to create a trap, and kill them. After they’re dead, you will have to go talk to either Das or Tligh, and say that you’re the new leader, and that you give up, but with one condition, that they allow our religion to keep existing.” Drak said.

“Okay, master... I think I understood everything...” Eirwd said.

“Wait... There are these two letters here... The yellow one, you will have to give to the General of the Enemy, after peace is back to our planet... and the other is for you to read and keep forever.” Drak said.

“Thanks, master... I will not disappoint you, I promise.” Eirwd said.

 

And, one hour later, Drak suddenly said his last words before dying.

“I’m counting on you... My friend....”

 

Now that Drak’s wishes have been turned into reality, Eirwd felt very haapy. He also married Das. She was waiting their first son, which would be named Tligh or Drak, as a tribute to the best two men they have ever met.

 

Now, there were only the two letters left for them to read.

Epilogue Part 1

 

It was finally time to read the letters left by Drak. After all, it had been almost a year after that terrible battle happened. The half part of Europe that had been destroyed by the earthquakes was now rebuilt. The peace was in the land since that last day of the battle, in which Tligh died, and Eirwd gave up.

 

Eirwd and Das had their first son. They decided to name him Drak Tligh, since they could not choose just one of these names to give to the baby. They were a happy finally. As a consequence of the war, Das turned into the Queen of Europe, and so, Eirwd became the King.

 

Drak's religion kept existing, and was lead by Eirwd's best friend, Marcelo. Although Eirwd had the power to control it whenever he wanted, he decided to keep his friend commaning it – for now at least.

 

Drak's palace was rebuilt, and Marcelo kept living there. The followers of the religion went to live in the House of the Believers once again. Everything was back to normal.

 

In a beautiful morning, in April, they decided to read the letters. They were alone in the main hall of the Palace.

 

First, Das decided to read hers. It was a little long. Eirwd could not wait until it was his time to read. And so, Das began to read.

 

“Hello,

May 29^th

 

It is with great pleasure that I, Drak, leader of the followers of my religion, officially give up. But there is still a condition; you must let my religion exists, and not destroy it. As I am sure Eirwd managed to obtain success with our plan, I want to wish you all a great, long, and wonderful life from now on.

 

I would love to see that peace is kept for a long time. Even though I won't be there to see, I will be in the heavens watching for you guys. Please, do not let this world turn into a completely dark and terrible world. We need to think about others, forget about money some times, and keep our beloved nature living. That's all I have to ask you.

 

It is time for me to go to the other world. May God bless you during your entire life. Never forget about what I said in the previous paragraph. If humanity does that, then maybe you guys have a chance of having your wondeful planet for one million of years. But, if not, then I am afraid I'm not sure what can happen to this world.

 

God seems to be very angry with what you, humans, are doing. I beg you; please stop. We need to save this world. We can't just let it be destroyed. Humans are the beings that are always creating, getting better, and inovating.

 

I wish you luck, because it surely will not be an easy to task to fullfil. May God be with you, and guide you to the path of rightness.
