First think thing. this NOT a question of what console you like

 

this question about which console you would buy if you did not know anything about the consoles, becuse in my town an Xbox with 250 gb HDD cost 251,24 dollars and a PS3 with 250 gb HDD cost 292,65 dollars. so if you did not know anything about the consoles and did not know any games on the consoles which would you buy. (sorry for bad spelling)

PS3 cause I heard the orrigional Xbox kinda sucked, and I would trust it cause of the name, having both my orrigional PSone and PS2 still working and being used, I'd figure it was durrable.

If price weren't a factor, PS3. Greater chance for KH3 and remakes of 1 and 2.

I would buy a Wii cause its the cheapest. (I"m cheap)

PS3 cause it has Blueray and it might get Kingdom Hearts 3.

I won't write 10000000 pages of reasons why the PS3 is better if nobody asks me to.

I don't think anyone can approach this question without bias. You'll have to wipe our memory to see what choice we really make.

PS3, because of the Blu-Ray. I'm pretty sure Xbox doesn't play Blu-Ray discs, right? And I like the games for PS3 better. Other than that, I don't know much about the differences and similarities between the two consoles, so I can't compare them. But I'm pretty sure I'll always think PlayStation is better no matter what.

PS3. Has better games choices, XBox Live you gotta pay for but PS3 is free, blu-ray player, better graphics… PS3 is the way to go.

Oh and also, XBox gets the red and yellow ring of death almost constantly and it literally burned their game disc. (There's a burn ring that form around it, so the game won't work. All that money for nothing.) Everyone I know had such bad problems with their XBox that they traded it in for a PS3 and love it so much more.

Without any knowledge, I'd choose Xbox360. I'm a shooter, and the controller is better set up for that. BUT the ps3 has games like uncharted and gran turismo.

PS3, just because I like the smooth black color.

If you can't live without Halo and/or Gears of War get the 360.

In any other case the PS3 is a way better choice.

The hardware is better.

More and qualitative exclusives.

Better controller. No batteries.

Cheaper additional hardware like headset ect.

FREE online access.

The drive is inside which prevents disorders with the disc.

360's AND 360 DVD's break rather quick. Blockbuster (video game rental service) gets like 20 non-functioning 360 games back ebery WEEK. And not a single PS3 Blu-Ray.

The fact is, that it is proven that 360 DVD's are not even nearly as durable als PS3 Blu-Ray's. And that is relevant.

Well from your post and not knowing which hardware and all that, I'd just choose Xbox Simply because it was cheaper, But meing me I'd choose ps3 simply because of the games blueray drive and possibility of kh3 on it as a factor

The PSN Online Service is almost equal to XBL. There is almost no higher lag-rate ect.

Plus: Think it that way. You get a game.. let's call it BF3 because everybody gets it for the multiplayer. And Microsoft won't let you play it online unless you pay 50$? I don't know exactly how much.. I assume it's 50$ a year. And that is bullshit. Your console forbids you to play half of the game unless you pay fees. That is unacceptable. Even if the online service would be twice as good which it isn't.

It depends if it the white xbox go with the ps3 but if it the elite (which I have) or new one go with xbox

Last time I checked almost all Add-On's are released earlier on PSN. Newest example. Battlefield3.

PS3 became the favor of most publishers some time now.

Also the hack was due the law suit against a hacker. If Microsoft would take the grudge of the Anon's XBL would be down as fast as PSN did. Also there are strong security systems now. So there is no problem for someone who is buying a PS3 NOW.
