tutti frutti. This is mostly from another thread.I don't know why, but I have this crazy feeling/theory that there is more to Yen Sid's MoM exam than just having Sora and Riku come back from the Dream World. To help better define this, I mean how a person would give a task to 2 people, but how they tackle that task would determine whether they pass or fail. I don't believe that just returning form the Dream World is "completely" what Yen Sid is looking for. Though it's really hard to tell overall how he intends to rate Sora and Riku during their time taking the MoM exam. Does anyone else have their own thoughts about the exam?

I guess Yen Sid is preparing them to the second part of the test which is harder by making them get more abilities in the dream world , who knows .

well he said if they returned he'd deem them keyblade masters .. i doubt theres too much more to the m.o.m than just getting the "key of sleep" and returning just because nomura said that the whole game wouldn't take place during the mark of mastery exam.

Well of course. It's like when people are asked to do a job. If you've done it, but done a really rubbish job of it, then the person marking you isn't going to give you full marks. Riku and Sora will probably be marked how well they can compete in the Realm of Sleep. Because they'll both probably complete the realm of sleep.

Yes! I think your right. Oh and also I herd that the whole game wont be the test too.

I don't think Yen Sid is going to give them more than the task he's assigned them with. He would be an a** if they came back and he said, "Oh, even though you came back like I asked, you didn't do a good enough job. You fail!" I think Yen Sid understands how great of a task this is and believes coming back is a large enough feat to grant them to be masters.

This said, I think there is an extra plot we are unaware of that will develop as Sora and Riku are in the dream world. We have the data in Sora, and the memory from Xehanort somehow playing part. Sora and Riku may have more on their plate than just the Mark of Mastery.

Whoever comes back gets to save and marry Aqua.

Hey I wonder what happens in Kingdom Hearts 3! Maybe Sora will die!

tutti frutti. Wouldn't Nomura literally have to change his word about Sora being the hero in the series. Unless something completely off the wall happens where he dies and then comes back in some unforeseeable way. But overall, I think that there is more to the MoM than Sora and Riku returning. Can't remember the name of the story book, but I remember a kid's book where a king did the same thing with two woman for something, where he put them through a test, it's been a long time though. To me, it just seems like that Yen Sid is telling them to "go on another adventure, come back alive and you will be known as a Master." Seems a bit TOO straighforward if you ask me.

i think the test might just be yen sid trying to show sora and riku how to recover worlds that have been put to sleep .. and to help sharpen their abilities and what not.

I wasn't serious when I said that, I probably just randomly said that for no reason.

the purpose of the dream world is so they can "learn the proper way" to use their keyblades, the added bonus of getting out of the dream world is being claimed as masters.

tutti frutti. Sorry, didn't mean to sound like I was taking you seriously or anything. Personally, I want someone other than Sora to be the "main" character of the series. ( I guess from being a Final Fantasy fan.) Though I have nothing major against Sora. No offense to your comment in any way. I was exhausted from that crazy day that I had.
