Apparently, SE is working on a new Action RPG for the PS3 and Vita. It's being worked on by the same team who works on Kingdom Hearts games! Could this be Kingdom Hearts 3? Will we finally get the game we've been after for 5 1/2 years? If not, when will we get it? Why am I asking you all these questions? I don't think that it is a Kingdom Hearts game. The second KH-Team isn't even finished with 3D so I don't think they already start with another handheld game.

Also the "real" Kingdom Hearts team currently works on FF vsXIII. And KH3 will run of the engine that is made for vsXIII and not the engine this article is talking about.

 

Even though I'd love it to be a KH title Especially for the PS3 since I neither own a 3DS nor plan to buy a Vita.

By 'new' action RPG, I assumed it was a new IP.

It's being developed using the Unity engine, which I think is mainly used for web and downloadable types of games. So it's probably some sort of PSN game.

 

If it is KH3, however, I do not like the fact they are releasing it on Vita as well. It should be a PS3 (or at least console) exclusive.

Versus XIII isn't even done, so I seriously doubt it's KH3

The job consists of creating play elements for flying an airship over a world map, and planning gameplay for within an air ship, including things like inn functionality, customization elements and checking up on game progress.

 

Given that this game uses the Unity Engine, it's presumably unrelated to the Square Enix action RPG that was announced last week for the Unreal Engine.

 

The job listings do not list the company that is hiring for the project. Rather than Square Enix, it may be an external contractor. However, the listings do specifically refer to the game as a new project from Square Enix's 1st Production Department.

If this isn't KHIII, I don't know what they are thinking putting another game onto the 1st Production team when they haven't even finished Versus nor started KHIII. Versus has stalled this game enough. Don't dump another game on the team!

doubtfull that is KH3 but i am interested in what it could be maybe another Final Fantasy game or another game all together who knows but as Oishii said they are still working on Versus and than going on KH3 let them finish current projects before they get a new one and give them a break also they desierve it

Well, if you got a 3DS, then you could play technically 3 KH games because of Days and Re:Coded. Unless you already have a DS.

Sorry I don't live in an English speaking country. But I knew that it was just a careless mistake.

Since it's the KH Team working on it, I think it may be a game similar to the series (Same battle system, similar character design, ect.) not exactly KH3. My thoughts is that it might be close looking to "The World Ends With You".

My bet is on FF series but a KH game is always nice! They did mention customizing job properties, air ship over a world map and gameplay within an airship, it really sound like FF tactics to me.

 

On another note: this could be a new game entirely.

I think this actually might finally be FFXV! It's being made by the main team, and someone who works at SE said they were thinking about making XV an action RPG, which is what this game is said to be. I doubt it though. Especially since they're not using the new game engine they made on it.

With the airship and such I'm leaning towards a FF title. Possibly a Crystal Chronicles title due to the fact that they are releasing it for a console and handheld. I'm sure there will eventually be a KH title for the Vita (which would most likely be the only reason I would get it) but not a major number title.

I hope not, TWEWY needs to stay on Nintendo systems. It should be on 3DS or even Wii U.

 

Part of what made TWEWY so great was its original, dual-screen battle system, which could not work on a PS3 or Vita.

I think "Soaring through the skies, traveling and flying in the air." Type of RPG.

 

The main character might just be dressed up as an aviator or wear goggles with a hat, Resembling my avvy a bit, you know...except they're not an animal.

 

But we already have enough airships damn it, we travel through the world map in airships.
