I just wanna say, that i think the Ultima Weapon is way over-rated. I mean really, it is supossed to be the greatest keyblade(nope), something that requires a lot of effort to obtain(yeah right), and you appearently need it to defeat sephiroth(wrong). Does anyone else hear this and find it annoying? The number one keyblade! here you can have it CUZ U KNO HOW TO COOK. the effort it takes to make it is at least 1/3 the effort it takes to defeat sephy. deos anyone agree?

I think it's pretty rated.

I've had kh2 for over 2 years now, and still haven't gotten it. It's actually pretty hard for me to obtain the items not only for the keyblade but for other things to level up the status. But yeah, I'd rather it have been obtained in a different way.

The number one keyblade is actually the X-blade

in kh2 it was good in kh1 it was good kh2 it wasnt that hard to obtain in bbs it was very easy to obtain and it wasnt the best keyblade it was the most balanced but not the best

Its Not Overrated

Well it was pretty good in KH1 butt in the others its balancedd, but if you want POWERR JUST use ROXAS'S STICKKKKKKK ehtsssss beastttt

In KH2, Ultima Weapon's completely worth it. Hell, it's all I use in the Final Mix.

 

It has the highest balance of stats, long reach, and MP Hastega built in. It doesn't get much better than that.

Everyone obsesses over getting the Ultima Weapon, everyone wants its so I lost interest in it before I even got it, I'll admit that its stats are pretty balanced, but when in actual game play, i dont think that it makes much a difference. Who really uses magic all that much? So mp hastega really is only good for when you use curaga, and if you need to use it that much them i guess you have a problem when it comes to fighting, without mp hastega ultima weapons only useful feature, its just fenrir but more annoying to get, at least to get fenrir you can an enjoy an epic, albeit extremely difficult fight. You feel like you earned your keyblade, not saved up and bought it

The only things I have to say are these......

 

1. This keyblade is called the Ultima Weapon for a reason.

 

2. I'll admit you don't really need it for Sephiroth. In fact, I've read even the Circle Of Life is a good substitute. That doesn't excuse its power though.

 

3. U have to do a million frickin' things to get at least HALF of the materials needed. U make it sound simple. SIMPLE. MY. ASS.

If you do it right, you can get it immediately after the fight woth Roxas in TWTNW. (You need the Orichalcum+ by the save point.)

You apparently haven't played the FM. MP-recharging is everything, not to mention UW's magic rating (What was Fenrir's again? 1? Yeah.). Ultima Weapon is just what you need to get through the challenges. Fenrir's only good if you're cutting down random Heartless or if you equip Final with it.

i think for kh2 and kh2 final mix the decisive pumpkin is better because ground combos deal more damage and heros crest deals more damage with aerial combos so they are better than ultima weapon which only has long reach and mp hastega so ultima is better if you try to be defencive but i prefer decisive pumpkin/heros crest for more damage.In my opinion what matters the most is the keyblades ability and how it can help your strategy during your fights.

Trust me, in KH2, Decisive Pumpkin and LionHeart are the only two KB's you need ;D

I completely agree with your opinion. Ultima Weapon is over-rated. Way too easy to get in KH2. KH1 took a little more effort. The only reason I got UW was because I thought I wouldn't have been able to beat Sephiroth without it. Turns out I probably could have beat him with something else. I'm the kind of guy who just mashes the X and Square button so magic is the least of my concerns. I can live long enough between curagas, when I even need to use it

tutti frutti. I guess it would depends on those that are willing to get the Ultima Weapon. I didn't find it necessary to defeat Sephiroth with it in either KH1 or KH2. In KH1, I beat him with Kingdom Key and in KH2 I did the same with Sweet Memories. For those that make the most of both melee attacking and magic, I find this a pretty useful Keyblade. I'm sure that everyone on this site has their own preference on what Keyblade they use for each game based on their own gameplay. I don't find it the UW the best keyblade, and it terms of getting I find it something to help keeps our skills in check in getting them, as for mopping the floor with Sephiroth, I don't think that it's necessary to face him.

Fenrir was my weapon of choice I didn't bother to get ultima in kh2 years after I beat the game.
