Recoloring=Stealing art. Hey, you were the one who drew over something that someone out there worked hard on. Just because you changed some colors, doesn't mean it isn't stealing.

Instead of taking someone else's work and recoloring it, try actually drawing something. It takes little effort and no talent to recolor Technically you made this with help because all you did was change the colors. That's stealing.

Try working with bases first, and then work yourself up to actually drawing

It looked cute before I knew it was a recolour, and it still looks cute now. But yeah maybe you could have at least said it was a recolour and, like Lady Koko said, have a go at drawing your own stuff, I know I would like to see what you come up with on your own =)

Yup, the head was a recolor of Sasuke Uchiha, & the body was a recolor of Kakashi.

I would not like to see someone take my art and recolor it and call it theirs. It's stealing and it's not fair to both parties. It's not fair to the artist who the creation originally belonged to because they worked hard on something just to see someone else take it and color over it. Not only is it stealing, but you're vandalizing someone's hard work as if it's a worthless thing. And it's not fair to the thief because this gives them no room to grow.

Koko is doing anything but bullying. She's saving you from getting flamed and bullied by trying to get you to stop doing recolors. By doing a recolor, you're hardly doing any of the real work that went into making the picture you stole. Since you didn't draw the original picture, you can't call the recolor yours. Since it's not yours, it's stealing.

Although you never took the original and claimed it as your own, recoloring is in a way, taking someone's art, changing it and claiming it as your own...

When actually, it's mostly someone else's. I'm not trying to offend you or bully you, I'm just trying to explain.

The other person got the anatomy, shapes, original colors and designs all by her/himself. While you did work, but not originally.

Recoloring can be quite challenging so I actually give you props, but in a way, yes it is stealing.

I would recommend trying to draw your own art, it seems you have the potential to do so! : )

Didn't feel like getting into the debate at first, but now it seems somewhat necessary.

 

You have to understand, recoloring over something is plagurisim. You are recoloring it, and taking credit of your work as if it was your own, but it's not. If you were to re-color it, at least give credit to the origninal creator of the drawing. And also, what Lady Koko is doing is not bullying. It is criticsizm.
