Like I posted in the "Help http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.png" thread, I don't know what all these older men want with children, but its kind of disturbing to hear so many o

Love knows no age. If its love it will be what it wants to be.

A lot of the people posting here are like, 13-15 and saying they "love" their partner.

Nah, son. Nah.

You need a bit more life experience to know what love actually is. In my eyes, ages 13-15 aren't the ages you should be dating. I hate to be an ass about it, but your relationship won't go anywhere if you're that young and dating someone that much older. Older people have more needs than younger people, and such an age gap, especially at your age is like "wat."

But that's just my opinion.

I believe that most of the time, teenagers are unable to fully comprehend love. Or at least, it's an immature form of love. You believe it'll work out, you love each other greatly and nothing will keep you apart. It can happen yes, but it can fail miserably.

The truth is, love takes work. You need to help it grow or it will wither away. It's hard to keep a relationship, and it's even harder when it's long distance. Both people need to fight for this love, conquer anything that comes between them and grow together. And sometimes instead, they grow apart.

It's not the age gap, honestly that's your personal choice and your life and you will be held accountable for your actions if anything goes wrong (on the chance that he may be some sort of creeper), but it's more of the distance.

Long distance relationships often time don't work. And seeing as your boyfriend will be going to college, it's quite possible, that he'll drift apart. He'll get busy, meet new people and carry on with his own life while you're still in public school.

You may love him, and he may love you, but there's always the chance of just falling out of love. It may happen. It may not.

But you need to keep an open mind as to the possibility of it failing, or risk getting heartbroken when it does.

You can't keep the childish mindset of 'WE LOVE EACH OTHER, WE ALWAYS WANT TO BE TOGETHER' because the future is always uncertain.

And that's just the way life is

You can't do anything until your 18 with him in that case. Are you sure he can wait that long?

Also it seems people get "love" and "in love" mixed up.

Most adults don't understand love. I'm just about to turn 15 and although I think I know what love is, I also know that I've never really experienced it because I've never really been in love with anyone. Sure I've felt attraction to people and emotions that I thought was love, but in one of my relationships I learnt that the love I was feeling was more of a (can't remember the actual word for it right now) brother/sister sort of love. And that showed me I had no idea what love was and it was gonna take a lot of time until I figured it out.

And can I just say, you've never met this guy in real life? It actually scares me that you talk with absolute devotion to this guy you've never actually seen. For all you know, he's been lying to you all the time. I was seriously worried about how you've never actually met the guy. In my books, you can't form a relationship with someone you've never met. You can form a friendship sure, but a loving relationship, sorry but no, not in my opinion.

While I believe that you do love him, I don't think you love him the way you think you do. And tbh, he's going to leave for college, military service, or SOMETHING soon, and will probably leave you behind. And I know I sound awfully mean, but that's probably what's going to happen like if he goes off to college. Do you expect him to go around bragging about the 14-year-old girlfriend he's too far away to see very often?

He doesn't go to college.

And, umm... girlfriend?

You said he was 17 or something. Don't play yourself as a fool, he'll be leaving soon. You said you were dating, which means that you're boyfriend and girlfriend. Why are you confused by the word girlfriend?

He is 19. And in Finland we don't have any colleges... I think... He is already in good school.

And yes, I'm his boyfriend, we are both males...

What do you mean you don't have colleges? Google says otherwise xD If he's not in college and he's nineteen exactly where is he going to school? o.O

Sorry, didn't realize that. xD

So?

When his school is over, he moves to another city. And it's closer ♥

What do you mean so? He's in college. xD It sounds more like one of the "School of the Arts" type colleges, whether they call it that or not. Anyway, the final decision is up to you, we're just pointing out the obvious flaws.

I think it doesn't matter that he is in college.

And like always, everyone seem to be against me.

I know that you 'try to protect me' but it's useless. I really know who he is. You just can't understand it.

I think you missed reading my post

You might not think it matters that he's in college, but the thing is, college is work. It takes up a lot of time and it's possible for him to grow apart, both of you to grow apart. We're not against you, at least I'm not. I'm just trying to let you know that you're thinking childishly, thinking you'll always be together. You can't do that or it'll hurt worse if it doesn't work out. If both of you work to keep the relationship strong, it can stay strong, but that's hard to do when it's long distance and he's going to college. But if you can still get through all that, then it'll all be worth it
