No one knows where Ventus is originally from, but I've heard speculations that people here have made about how maybe Ventus might have originated from Twilight Town--thus, the creation of Twilight Town in Chain of Memories, which made sense, until I was playing through Birth By Sleep one more time, and I began to wonder... could Ventus actually be from Destiny Island?

 

Birth by Sleep, when Terra speaks to little Riku, Riku says that he heard once about a kid who left for good. (And then Terra starts to have visions of Young MX and then older Riku---which sparks other questions, but I'll save those for a different topic) Could that kid that left for good be Ventus? And then even earlier in the game, in the Prologue, when Master Xehanort brings the dementia Ventus to Destiny Island in that white blanket, he says to Ventus, "I imagine you'll be right at home."

 

 

What do you think? Could Ventus be from Destiny Island? It could further explain just how Sora found Ventus's heart, or why Master Xehanort brought Ventus to Destiny Islands at the beginning in the first place. And I don't think it explained who the kid who left for good is/was. Or did they...?

i dont think so just the way when xahanort was explaining the world when he was going to leave ven there makes me think he isnt

Young Master Xehanort makes sense... but it also doesn't. It's clear in Blank Points that Young Master Xehanort resided in Radient Garden doing research, not from Destiny Island. True, Young Master Xehanort could have traveled and visited Destiny Island, but Riku makes it sound like it was an actual Islander who left.

Maybe. Maybe Xehanort went back to Destiny Islands, and that's how he found Ventus.

MX was the person that left Destiny Islands and that was him Terra saw. MX brought Ven there to live out the rest of his life because his heart was fractured.

Terranort resided in Radiant Garden, doing research. Young Master Xehanort was the man at the beginning of Birth By Sleep that said: "This world is too small."

I highly doubt it. The Xehanort reports imply that he did not go back to Destiny Islands till he dropped off Ven at the beggining of the game because of the remark about time standing still on the islands. Not to mention, Xehanort is significantly older than Ven, and he left the islands as a teen/young adult. So there would either be two kids who left or just the one that we already know of.

My goodness. Master Xehanort(the boy who left long ago) is from Destiny Islands. It was never confirmed where Ven, Terra, and Aqua came from.

I think he might be. It would make sense that he would.

Maybe more will come clear in KH3D.

 

But I'm saying that he may have resided in Twilight Town.

Nomura confirmed that the man who left Destiny Islands was in fact Young Master Xehanort. Find the interview for yourself, it is probably in the BBS ultimania. Not like we could already guess that.. His character model in BBS and the young Xehanort from the 3D trailer are identical.

 

When Xehanort said ' I imagine you'll be right at home ' .. he was comparing the state of Destiny Islands to Ventus' heart in it's current status. 'An empty world, like a prison' I believe were the words.. Ventus was nearly dead in that scene, MX left him to die. Ventus was an empty shell, his heart was broken. And Destiny Island must have been quite a remote, desolate place. He was not saying that Ventus had once inhabited that island.

 

Also, who said Twilight Town was created in CoM? Ansem found that place and used it as a base to conduct experiments and find out about the Org. Twilight Town is a world in the realm in between, which was made from parts of lost worlds, like Traverse Town was. I'd say they both existed in KH1 or before.

 

Nobody knows for sure where Ven was from.. as far back as we know he trained with MX in the keyblade graveyard. The timeline doesn't go back further than that, at least not in a cutscene.

Nonono, Xehanort was from DI.

He was "from" Radiant Garden because of what happened in the ending of BBS. That was Terranort.

All we know about Ventus's past is that he trained with MX and that he's an orphan.

Wait--ugh! Dang it. Now I feel like an idiot. I know the difference between Terranort and Young Master Xehanort, why did I say that???

If you read the Xehanort reports, you would know that Xehanort was from Destiny Islands, so we can asume Riku was referring to Xehanort leaving the Islands. Nobody knows where Ven is from, nor is it ever hinted.

None of the main characters were born when Xehanort left the island. He returns with Ventus an old man, the moment Sora is being born. I'm pretty sure Riku was a baby at the time. It would be plausible to assume it was Ventus, even though there is almost no evidence to support this idea. So either Riku was told a story about a kid who left the island, or it was someone he had seen before, and never returned. So then maybe it could have been Xehanort he was referring to. Another Plausible answer, with a little more evidence than Ventus.Though I kinda assumed Ventus was an Orphan from Twilight Town or something, cause that's where Roxas Ended up.. now why would Roxas end up in Twilight Town? I DUNNO SOMEONE TELL ME PLEASE!
