I was reading some of the posts to my recent thread and i came across a post from Blazer saying "I thought the saddest death scene was Xion's Scene. It was really touching and sad, though beautiful also as she faded away into crystal dust". So my question is, why did Xion fade away into crystal dust but all the other Org. XIII members faded away w/ the darkness (im guessing thats what it is) swilrling around them?

she was a "special nobody"

in other words she literally was not a nobody but a doll made up of sora's memories to absorb roxas but instead roxas absorbed xion

From what I've seen, I'm guessing it's because since Xion was made of Sora, well, Sora = light, & Xion faded away into light crystal dust. Or something like that. LOL. 8D

it because she was a fail sora's replica

i thought she turned into ice...O.o

But now that i think about it... Yeah, it did look like "light crystals".

Yeah, that makes sense

Also, the fact that she was created by Vexen, whose element is ice, might have something to do with it. You might ask, "If that's the case, why didn't Riku-Replica fade away into crystal dust?". Simple answer: by the time he was defeated, he was closer to a real human than a doll. He'd had false memories implanted in his mind, and he'd absorbed Zexion's powers, so that could explain some of that. Jenyflo's comment also makes sense, so...

When Xion dies, she turns to ice and breaks away into "crystals."

Each crystal is a fragment of Sora's memories returning to him, while Xion makes the great sacrifice of giving up her own life to return them to him.

All she is is memories in a fake body...

uhhhhhhhh hmmmmmm yea thats true she was in a crystall ice beacuse well..dosent it kinda repersent her like cool chilled shy?

On topic:

Like others have said, Xion didn't fade away into darkness because she wasn't even a real Nobody. She was a Replica made by Vexy.
