I agree 100%

It's easy to hate him in Chain of Memories at first--I mean, he initially comes off as such a backstabbing meanie. And you an sometimes be mad at him for being so loyal to the organization until KH2. But you see later that he follows his nonexistant(?) heart--he never cared about the Organization, and was always planning to overthrow them, just waiting for the right moment. But the moment came sooner because he knew Roxas and Xion...and so, to atone for what he did, he killed himself to save Sora. So what I like about him is that even though he's a nobody, he has more heart than many out there that have them. And he even cries! How many nobodies can cry? You gotta feel sorry for him for that.

 

Plus, the other less serious stuff: He's hot (lol puns), controls fire, has cool weapons, is overall badass while still having a sensitive side (few people pull that off well), he says "burn baby," he's the only person in Kingdom Hearts to ever swear, and his catchphrase never really gets old. His hourglass figure is sometimes creepy and he's a little perverted, but hey, nobody's perfect. (Except Axel. And nobody pun lol)

Axel's a'ight. I loved him in RE/CoM, KH2, half liked him in Days, and loved him again in BbS as Lea. So far, it seems I'll love Lea in DDD.

I like him mostly from CoM, because he was so awesome in it. He was like betraying the traitors. I also like his awesome sense of humour. Like the quote he says in BBS: In peoples memories I can live forever. (I know that is Lea but they are pretty much the same). That quote pretty much explains why he says: "Got it memorized" (Which is also an awesome quote). Another reason was I liked him in 358/2 days. He was always helping Roxas and XION!. When they needed help he would be there, especially to Xion.

 

BTW to people that don't know: I LOVE XION......

He is like a stupid guy ....he thinks that he makes jokes....but noone laughs with him......when he summons his fire rings he is very very irritating guy.....Better Demyx..!

The reasons not to like him are even more reasons for me to like him.

He is awesome. I was almost going to tear up when he fade away in KH II.

He's my favourite character for several reasons. He has a very complex personality and in the beginning, you don't really know what his goal is. Even then, in CoM, I liked him because he was funny and his sense of humour is awesome. He's awesome.

When all finally makes sense, you realize all he did is for friendship and yeah, he made me cry on multiple occasions.

 

Also, he's a pyromanic. And he's hot. And his voice.

Meh.

I'll list a few though.I love how clever and unpredictable he is .He has a wayyyy overdramatic way of summoning his chackrams that i think is funny but great ...Or the sexy glint in his eyes that he flashes from time to time ..He's very mischievious and is always up to something.Yes , he is hot!!. His element is badass..He can light things on fire just by looking at them ! Walls of fire , floors of fire , flying chackrams of fire , Watch out ! Hehehe....But despite all his orneriness, He also is a great friend..He went soo far just for his friends, even dying...He cried as a NOBODY!!!.That broke my heart to see that, it really did .I felt for him bc he seemed to lose so much .He lost his heart, his friendship with Saix, Xion, and ,of course, Roxas..... And despite all his efforts in the end he lost everything which is sooo sad..The scenes where hes trying to save his friends show his profound hurt and desperation and he struggles to find a way ( All the more reason he deserved his heart back !!).He went rogue ( which took GUTS) against the Organization and even helped Sora out before that too in CO...I love his battle cries (Burn Baby , Come here Ill make it all go away) And well who can forget "Got it memorized?" Bwaahahahah..its epic..Theres a reason Axel became a fan favorite and a Square Enix staff favorite..Thats why his role got beefed up and it sets his potential to become a permanent cast main character..He's multi-dimentional and well rounded and you can love or hate him but you will still root for him ..

I was never talking about the thread or people of this thread in anyway. I was talking how some fans worship him like crazy. I really like the character I never said i hated him just some of the hype around him in general. I'm fine with the thread.

Sorry i thought you were making fun of us for gushing about why we liked him ..but yes i know what you mean but i havent really seen too much of that on here.. Youtube is another story..

He... is.. Oh, I don't know!! He's just awesome, okay? What more do you need?!

I like Axel because his role in CoM was pretty badass. He tricked the traitors and you never really knew his full intentions. And the in kh2 he was still very mysterious, and you weren't sure if he was good or bad. And the way he sacrificed himself was so sad. That's what made me a fan.

 

I loved his cameo in bbs and how you get a keyblade reminiscent of the one from kh2.

 

and now I'm excited to see him in DDD.
