Sevens not even in my top 5 and its still Aeriths death for me

Featured Replies

thats tough. off the top of my head i can think of 3 final fantasy games that made me sad. Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core, Final Fantasy X, and Final Fantasy XIII-2. The ending scene of FF VII CC was pretty sad. I dont think an actual scene in X made me sad, just the overall story did. Noel's story was pretty sad, to me in FF XIII-2. I think the saddest part in the game was when you go to "A Dying World-700 AF" and find out about Noel and Caius' backstory. But, if i had to choose, i'd have to go with Crisis Core's ending.

The worst of them all was Final Fantasy Type-0. It was Crisis Core x12. I couldn't believe the pain and suffering that it displayed. I don't speak Japanese, but the scene moved me so much.

Ending Spoiler to game not out in America yet bellow.

Basically 12/14 of the main cast all sit in a destroyed classroom, covered in blood, dying and crying hysterically. Then the main character begins to sing a song and everyone calms down. Then all twelve kids sit in a circle and talk about how bright the future is and what they are going to do tomorrow. They talk about going to school and taking their Mother with them. Then one of them makes a bad joke and they all begin to laugh. Close up on each one of them beaming, and then a girl says "Now I know I'm not alone."

Cue Credits.

Suddenly, the last 2 Characters (Machina and Rem) burst into the room and freeze. The other 12 kids are lying, huddled next to their flag, all holding hands, dead. Machina runs up to them and starts screaming and crying. Then one of the kid's cards floats out of his hands (a playing card) and flies up into the sky and makes a rainbow. The boy's voice says that he'll be with Machina and Rem.

The raw emotion of the scene...

To me, the Saddest Scene was at the end of Crisis Core, where one of my favorite character in Final Fantasy VII died, Zack Fair.

I have never played a Final Fantasy game ,but I have seen this scene from Crisis Core on Youtube. I would say this is the saddest scene I have ever seen out of all of the Final Fantasy cutscenes so far. This scene almost always gets me to cry on the spot. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/smiley-cry.png

If we're counting spin-offs definately Crisis Cores ending. Bought tears to my eye, you knew it was coming from the begining if you'd played VII (or seen Advent Children), but it still was extremely sad. ;_;

My top 2 would be FF crisis core and FF13-2. I thought crisis core was super sad, but FF13-2 made me cry, and I hated going to Noel's dying world.

XIII-2, definitely. Basically from Dying World 700 on to the end.

At least I knew what would happen to Zack at the end...

Crisis Core's ending, FFX's ending and Aerith's death.

The end of Crisis Core regarding sadness.

I cried tears of joy when I got to the first Gabranth fight in FFXII

I say it was Aerith's death. it was the saddest part of the game. Even though I never actually played a numbered FF title.

i just watched the ending on youtube and i got to say, if i had played the game and it had been in english, so i could understand better at what was going on, i think i might agree with you. that was pretty sad.

The death of Zack Fair Rip

I almost cried watching it without understanding it (I had followed some of the game on an online summary).

I had to find a translated version. When I did, oh boy. If I had known that they were talking about all the fun they were about to have tomorrow the first time I saw it, I would have been bawling.

Zack and Aerith Death were the saddest moments of FF.Both of them didn't deserved to die,but sadly it happened

Just imagine actually playing the game, developing Zack as your own, being with him throughout the whole game :(

I would have to say the ending of Crisis Core. One ending that made me cry after the whole gaming experience of it. Q-Q

Not for anything, the ending of the 012 story in Dissida 012 was depressing. Seeing Lightning die, all bruised and beaten, was terrible.

The moment when you realize that Wakka's hair is, in fact, supposed to be taken seriously.

FF X ending, FF VII Aerith's death, FF XIII-2 dying world 700AF, Crisis Core ending, FF IV has lot of sad deaths aswell and FF IX. There is just too many http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/smiley-cry.png

Damn it, stop giving VII so much attention.

Celes' suicide attempt. Final Fantasy VI. ;-;
