Guessing from the ending and opening, I think the lights are:

 

1. Mickey. Obviously. He's a constant role in nearly the entire franchise.

 

2. Riku. Seeing as how Riku passed the Exam, and is very proficient in his fighting skills, there is not much doubt he will a 'light'.

 

3. Aqua. Just like Riku, Aqua passed the Exam. Given her current residence, she needs to move.

 

4. Ven. Ven has been through a rather difficult battle, even if he does not have a body.

 

5. Terra. I would not like to be in Terra's shoes. One, they are too big for my feet, and Two, Terra has been through quite a ordeal.

 

6. Sora. Sora, even though he failed the test, is still the hero.

 

7. Kairi/Xion. This is debatable. Kairi, or Xion, who has shown in the opening, could be the seventh light. I want to say Kairi, but if Kairi isn't ready, you could use Xion. However, with Xion, you have a problem. She's dead. That, and she is a Replica made from Sora's memories.

Xion was a puppet that held Sora's memories about Kairi which is why she looked like Kairi, after she collected more she looked like Sora. So it is Kairi, as Kairi was seen weilding a Keyblade at the end of II that makes sense

Yes Kairi!! Which i think is about time she is included more, she is such an important role, a princess of heart and now a keyblade wielder!!

I want to see some epic keyblade fights in the upcoming games!

I expected it, from KHII but it did seem like she wasnt going to go with the boys on there next journey, seemed like they were gonna leave her on the island again...

This is exactly how i feel, I thought that the reveals in the ending and the secret ending were pretty EPIC!! I mean think about it its finally pointing to KHIII its finaly coming!!!

 

 

Nomura said in multiple interviews that KH3D leads up directly to KHIII so while there may be another game I think it will follow more of the events of what happend after BBS if anything there is nothing else they could do...were pretty much just waiting for the climax!!

 

 

Thats not all that was revealed in the secret ending...

we learnd of what Master Yen Sid and Mickey need to do in the future, to protect the princesses of Heart, they need the seven lights and we learned that these "seven lights" Are weilders we are familiar with, another thought, nobody seems to notice that they have said they only need one more? (And this one more being Kairi of course). Could this mean that they know where our missing three from BBS are already? And how to save them?

hey nic! y said previously that Roxas cant come back. But i think he will, y see Xemnas told to Sora that nobodies have able to create new hearts to themselves. In case of Roxas, Namine and Axel this worked. I think Roxas heart just needs to be released from Sora somehow.

I hope there's a Final Mix version for KH3D since this Secret Ending wasn't that surprising... I mean since Kairi got the Keyblade in KH2, I expected her to do the Mark of Mastery Exam someday... besides Nomura made three Keyblade Wielders trios: Sora's, Ven's and Roxas's... One more reason for Kairi to use the Keyblade

Terra is clearly gone, we may end up saving him before the end of the next game but I don't see him replacing any of the above, he may get redemption but in the end as far as I'm concerned hes pretty much dead/apart of Xehanort. Not a champion of the light.

 

As for Lea I don't see any reason to just give him a keyblade (or bring kairi back for that matter) if they weren't going to be important.

 

Now what would be really interesting is if everyone came back in the end to balance out the war, instead of 13 darknesses and 7 lights, why not 13 each?

 

Included in the 7 I already mentioned what if they brought back/added...

that'd be crazy, but this series is rather known for being completely insane already so... yeah I'd be down with that.

I don't see kairi doing anything (not a hater), firstly MX said they are choosen naturally (she wasn't naturally choosen, as yen sid went and got her) plus i feel that her being on the front lines, (being a pure light and all) would get in the way of the other 6, as they have to protect her, constantly, rather than putting her safely away with a few body guards.

 

also secondly as someone stated before, she'd let her emotions get the better of her, which is always a enemy benefit. unlike sora or riku who have experenced it (yes they let their emotions get the better of them sometimes) but they learned, her training won't make her learn that way.

 

i love kairi being a choice, i just don't see how she'd productively help the team. also yen sid might be using her for something else, as in somehow locating aqua or something (like use her connection with aqua to find her in the RoD) no one has explored that option yet. as we still need to find aqua. as no aqua = no ven and no ven or aqua means - 2 of the members already

Hum... I believed Yen Sid or MX said that the 7 Light where connected with the destrcution of the X-Blade.... If that's true, Lea cannot be one of the Light, he wasn't a keyblade wielder at the time, and wasn't blessing by the Keyblade.

Terra would be better as one of those Light. It is said that he fight MX from the inside of his body since he came inside him. (MX is a damn' pedobear...)

 

To me, the only guys who could be the 7 Light are clearly Sora, Riku, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua and Mickey. All of them are connected to the X-blade's destruction, and at least, has received the abilitie to use the Keyblade when it has been destroyed.

I would think that the seven lights would not include Terra too, since to rescue and save him would mean defeating Xehanort probably since MX does currently possess Terra's body (? - considering that was 10+ years ago and that MX has split himself into a Heartless and a Nobody... Still a little confused about how everyone was "resurrected"). But I think a good ending would be if Terra was saved (perhaps separated from Xehanort, and Terra's heart/soul in his armor being reunited with his body at the Keyblade Graveyard) and that Terra ends up delivering the last blow on MX to kind of show he's defeated the darkness that started this and perhaps redeem himself? And I highly doubt Master Eraqus will make a return, it would make his "death" pointless from BBS.

 

It would be cool if in the next game instead of Donald and Goofy being beside Sora, it'd be Riku and Kairi - my guess being in the Keyblade Graveyard, and slowly it'll strip down to just Sora for a solo fight in the end before the other six lights join in.

 

So my take on the 7 Lights as mentioned by a lot of others would probably be: Sora, Riku, Kairi, Mickey, Lea, Aqua and Ven.

I totally didn't like this as "secret ending". It wasn't shocking or even slightly amazing. We could perfectly figure out that Kairi was one of the seven lights without that cutscene.

I think i see where this ending/message is leaning towards to..

Maybe yes, maybe not. I'm more inclined to believe this scene happened during KH1, as all other scenes in the video, happened somewhere during the period from KH1 to KH2.

First of all, note that Mickey has worn five outfits in the franchise: His Disney outfit, the black coat, and three KH outfits. Out of all of these, he's wearing his CoM outfit, which means before KHII, and he's wielding the Star Seeker.

If you don't see my point, read the Director's Secret Report XIII. Mickey has already been in the Realm of Darkness before, and I believe Birth by Sleep - Volume Two might tell the remaining two of the "four untold stories" and reveal some other things, like the nature of the data that DiZ hid in Sora. You can clearly see him recording data in front of a sleeping Sora. I think we'll have first the BbSv2, and then get KHIII.

 

Lea has a Keyblade. Making it known that there are 8 keyblade wielders of light. Sora, Riku, Kairi, Aqua, Terra, Ventus, Lea, Mickey. There's suppose to be 7 lights. Possible people that could be eliminated from the list are Terra (status unknown OR he's with Organization 13), Mickey (just cause he's a mouse and that Yen Sid mentioned that its 7 children [maybe referring to young weilders], or Sora. Why would Sora possibly not be included? It was mentioned in 3DS that he has no keyblade wielding powers of his own, and that the hearts he harbors lended him that power. Master Xehanort also mentioned in 3DS that Sora is far off from being a keyblade wielder.

 

Nomura stated that Sora would be a wielder regardless of Ven, as he was always chosen. The "Sora is not a true wielder" is just Braig and Xehanort's assumption.

The "New Number" is KH3, i bet this is a message from Nomura. "In never before seen detail" i bet that's a reference to the graphics, so it'll be on the Wii U i bet. As for "reawakening" i bet that means an HD remake of KH1 and/or 2.

Hmm... I do think that the secret message refers to a collection game for all of KHs too.
