Apprentice Xehanort: No Yellow Eyes

Posted

If you guys watch blank points, you can clearly see he doesn't have yellow eyes..

Is this because he has amnesia?

Something that was overlooked?

Or because Terra (with the help of Eraqus) and Xehanort are duking it out inside still?

His eyes are sort of brownish.

It's the part where he's walking and Braig approaches him out of nowhere.

Yea I was replaying the game today and just started watching the scenes. lol It was surprising so I youtubed the scene to pause it.

So no explanation huh?

Can't really say... The time between BBS and KH1 is still pretty undetailed for me...

The only time I'll ever see a main character with brown eyes.....ever. xD

It's more then likely an over sight as BBS had yet to be thought of

I think it may have been an animation error or like strongheart said, it may have something to do with terra.

...I don't know. I just checked and you're right but I don't know why

I think it is because he can not remember his orgin.

I think it's because the 'real' Xehanort is not capable of being active and in control. At this point, you might as well be asking why Riku didn't have gold eyes when he was possessed by Ansem in KH1.

{Or perhaps one should be asking: why BROWN? Blue and gold should obviously be making green instead. And if he has any involvement, which I doubt, Eraqus had gray-silver nearly black eyes.}

I thought the brown eyes was because Apprentice Xehanort was neither possessed by MX or Terra. The brown eyes is to illustrate that neither heart (MX or Terra) is in control over the body (Apprentice Xehanort).

it is possible that now Terranorts light and darkness (Terra and MX) are kinda fighting over control of body, so his eyes become brownish. But i dont have really any sane explanation.

I thought it was because of this too, to symbolize a kind of neutrality I guess, that he was neither affiliated with terra or mx.

I don't think it was any kind of animation error though because AX appeared in KH2 in a flashback scene right? and he had brown eyes then too. Correct me if I'm wrong ;p

Um, dude? This scene happened in BbS.

P.S. If you're a girl don't take offense to me calling you "dude" alright? I call lot's of people "dude" guys and girls both.

Maybe its just because its like a new body intirely like xehanort has gold terra has blue terranort has brown because even in clips in kh2 he has brown eyes

It's more then likely an over sight as BBS had yet to be thought of

According to Nomura, he thought of BBS while making KHII. Also:

Um, dude? This scene happened in BbS.

They wouldn't have any excuse to make such a mistake since BBS emphasized the eye color so muchl. So it's not a mistake, there must be some meaning we are not aware of yet.

So... A pseudo-Nobody of sorts? According to Ultimania, it's possible that a Nobody was created when Terra-Xehanort stabbed himself with the Keyblade, it could be related in some way.

Okay, someone help me: Is it me or do Ansem and Xemnas have more orange than yellow eyes? I think so, but then I look at Xehanort's eyes and they look amber then orange then color loses meaning.

And yeah I think the brown is for neutrality, despite the glare he gives Xigbar.

"You're not...Terra?"

*Gives "Bitch please as if" glare* lawl

Am I allowed to reference KH3D in this, because I have a possible explanation for the eye color difference, but it relates to spoilers from KH3D..

EDIT: never mind i'm getting things mixed up... I don't know

I was just gonna bring this up. This is correct and it makes for good continuity. As for why his eyes went brown I have no idea I suppose the best explanation is because he forgot about the Darkness in his Heart, as for why brown is the colour they changed to it might be related to man Xeahnort used to be, or it could've been a new colour to represent the mix of the two.
