Firstly I admit now that I should never have made that thread. But I never thought for a second you guys would treat me like that.

 

It was made as a laugh, and to inform you that I've updated my banner/sig.

 

To be 100% honest, my banner/sig does not include any actual bragging what so ever. Everything in my banner/sig is a result of hard work. None of that was handed to me.

 

I am sadden by what some of you did. Some people more than others. Even people I respect joined in and contributed.

 

If you don't like my banner/sig or my threads then just ignore them.

 

The Random forum is a forum of laughs and jokes but a lot of you went too far. A joke only goes so far.

 

I thought the Forum Team were supposed deal with issues like this not go along with it and make it even worse.

 

Some people that I respect less than others though didn't join in, and actually posted something nice or remotely nice. I was surprised at that, but of course very thankful!

 

When I went to bed last night the thread was fine, but when I got home from school I found the emails along the lines of these: one with "Kaiso has locked the thread" and the other being "24 replies to the thread." I instantly thought, "What happened?" I went straight to the thread and went through it. It got worse and worse with each of the replies. With each one I started to go through them faster. It wasn't long before I asked for the thread to be taken down.

 

To make matters worse some people discussed it via status updates. And the comments continued the trend of making it worse.

 

 

The usual suspects were among this, but the people would should have been against this weren't and those that don't usually do type of thing did it. I clearly saw the people who liked the posts as well. So just because you didn't post anything wrong, just liking one of the worst of the posts contributed a lot. What an explanation how? Sure!

 

Someone posted an image and then a heap of people like it. See how those likes changed it?

 

I've tried my best not to point fingers at the worst offenders while writing this. And I wont.

 

But I'm sure you've realised who the worst offenders were.

 

If anyone wants to talk to me about this then feel free to via chat, PM or MSN. Up to you. I'd rather not on this thread.

Honestly, the fact of the matter is, even a moderator of a game within a website hosting various games, even one with maybe 40 players, knows better. You updated your signature to say 'number one poster'-- how is that not bragging? The thread itself was titled "just to brag a little". A moderator of anything; from a game, to a site, to a team leader at work, knows the difference between acting with decorum and not.

The only thing I can really say at this point is that yet again, I'm disappointed, at your clear lack of insight into your own wrongs in this. I can hear your situation, and to an extent understand. I think the major thing that I want to emphasize to you is that right there, on the top right hand side of every post and reply you make? "Team Leader". To an extent, people are willing to expect more from you than others, because of what you are, and what you're representing. Everyone makes mistakes, but more than anything, it's important to note that what you do really reflects on the site and the conduct maintained therein.

I agree with what Aaron and Eraldaine said...plus there are plenty of times you have made many highly offensive posts/ comments that arent funny at all and in turn it breeds hostilty. It also makes people lose respect for you .No one intended to hurt you but i hope that you can realize how this ended the way it did .

You simply just can't take a joke. We, as the people of the Internet, are not your best friends. We can make jokes about you if we want, and obviously, we did. This is why you should refrain from posting in the Random forum, because if you can't handle it, you shouldn't be posting threads. Why do you think the mods didn't do anything about these god awful members that dare make fun of you? Because they too, found it as a joke. And of course, there was nothing truly wrong. But you realized that you shouldnt have made the thread so I think you know this already. But I always say this: If you push someone, theyll push back. That goes with asserting superiority. Whenever someone says "I don't mean to brag" it means they are bragging. Everyone knows that. Also, while I do acknowledge that you dedicated your own free time to whatever the hell is in your sig, you shouldn't brag for lending a helping hand. It's fine to sport all that stuff in your signature, but making sure people know it by advertising it crosses the line.

I though most people would have the common sense to ignore you, but when I saw the thread well into the 3rd page when I logged on I knew you had to of done something to piss people off. Cut the talk with "laughs" and "jokes". For the most part we weren't being hostile to you. Kaiso locked the thread before people like you, who take random threads seriously, ruin the laughs and jokes.

Suspects? I see you are treating us like criminals now! But in the end, what this all boils down to is like whoring. I told you so everybody. Without negative ratings, the positive ones have no real value other than vanity. Glad to see Aaron has started seeing things my way. Hopefully he will pester DC enough to have it implemented.
