Who did you main in Brawl and why?

 

My primary main was Pit. Double swords and a bow; he was Legolas with wings! I was so hyped for him, and was so relieved when I figured out that he worked really well.

 

My secondary mains are Pokemon Trainer (My love of Pokemon; I love using Squirtle), Lucario (Ditto, and he's powerful), and Marth (My Melee main; Speed and Strength).

I like to use toon link but of late I've been maining in Shiek/Zelda but mostly Shiek ;p funny now that I think about it my mains have rarely been someone outside of the Zelda series lol.

I haven't been able to play the game for like a year

but I remember always using Zelda/ Shiek

I liked Zelda's reflector and when I got tired of her slow movement, I could switch to Shiek and start running around hitting stuff

Sonic all the way! I do great with Luigi too so its almost hard between the two but I've been playing Luigi sense the original and Sonic took my heart in Brawl.

Pit and Zelda/Shiek, oh and sometimes SamusXD

I pull Kirby sooo much. A light weight character with lots of jumps, an assortment of standard b moves (just pick from the people you're fighting), and the hammer and rock modes of death.

Kirby, because he's f**king Kirby.

Sonic

Wolf and Sheik. I'm surprised no one's shared their friend codes yet. I guess a lot people stopped playing it, what with all the KH hype

Metaknight. Firetrucking owned with him. I know most consider him "broken" and some tournaments banned him, but I was never that kind of player with him.

Not really any picking involved, I got them when using the random button and I was really good with them.

Yoshi. I main him because he's the only character I seem to be good at mastering when it comes to competitive Brawl matches, that and I've stuck with him since Melee.

Jigglypuff. She was more powerful in Melee, but she is still fun to use. I enjoy getting cheap kills with rest and floating around. Seriously, I have lasted far into matches that I probably would have lost otherwise by just floating around.

 

Otherwise, Samus and Lucario are my secondaries. They both have good endurance, plus they're awesome.

Wow, that's unique. Do you mind me asking how you play as Yoshi? I know he's often frowned upon (I can't use him myself, not for lack of trying), but it's nice to see someone else use an unusual character (like my Pokemon Trainer).

To be honest, I'm not quite sure how to describe how I use him, lol.

 

But basically I try to use close range combos with him and roll dodge to avoid being attacked, use his lick and swallow teqnique to get damage up, when the opponent's off ring I try and right/left-a shot them to make it harder for them to get back up in the ring, while still staying high enough for Yoshi to make it back up, because he only has his flutter jump and eggs, which give him a tiny bit of a jump boost (which puts him at a bit of an advantage getting back in the ring) It's really hard to describe, but I basically only use part of his moveset and focus on close-range moves, I'm not actually that good.

 

Everyone I played at tourneys always beat me. D:

I main Ike, Marth, Peach, and Mario. I loved Ike on first site. His power was just so overwhelming. I don't care how slow he is, although if my opponent is a little too fast, I switch to Marth. I am also a fan of fire emblem, so I am kind of biased.
