As many of you know YMX is Mysterious Figure, right? Well how come in BBS when you fight him he looks bigger, more masculine and reminiscent to Xemnas... Idk if it was a design change or what but it is kinda weird!!

Square Enix/ Squaresoft/ Enix have all been lazy since their inception, but they're actually a fair bit less lazy than most other companies.

And really, why would you bother to make an entirely new model if it's going to be completely covered by a cloak that has already been used for a good dozen and a half characters? Also, something to think about, technically YMX did appear in this game, he had a full model in BBS for one scene. Maybe they had a different plan for the character before? Nomura has said many times that DDD was impromptu.

I think it's just the black coat that he wore. They're different for everyone and in general just make you look more bulky. (With the exception of Axel) Just look at Roxas in his

 

digital twilight clothes and compare it to him in his organization coat.
