The games were being released in standard definition on the Wii.

Standard on the Wii? I don't own a Wii, so I'm not so sure on that one. 358/2 days would look pretty good. But, I don't really like the Wii's controls. So, unless there were extra story content, then I most likely wouldn't buy it.

Why is that? Square Enix could remake the games for the Wii without having to improve the textures/models or anything. It'd be much cheaper for them to do, and as such more practical (And thus more likely)

I mean, Square has been obsessed with keeping the graphics at KH2 level for as long as possible, why would they stop now?

Also, I don't see why 1080p is guaranteed, most HD compilations only went up to 720.

It's a Kingdom Hearts game, and I have a Wii, so of course I'd buy it! But why would they release a collection on the dead and non-HD Wii? They would certainly release it on the Wii U, PS3 or both if it was real!

But upgrading to HD takes time, money and effort. Porting SD stuff to another console takes significantly less of these, and has a larger potential margin for sales.

Square Enix would be hated if they put standard def stuff on the PS3.Not a good business move.

And just ebcause people aren't buying the Wii much anymore doesn't mean they don't have a massive install base; much larger than the PS3 or 360.

Depends. I have a Wii, so probably, but I already have all the games so I would wait and see if it is worth my time and money.

I have a Wii, so yes. It'd finally get used. But I'd be REALLY disappointed in SE.
