Anyways, I'd prefer a Link to the Past SEQUEL, AKA an actual new game, as opposed to remakes of games that I can easily get elsewhere.

That's a bit of false advertising on IGN's part. Those graphics are from a fan made Majora's Mask HD trailer. If MM WAS remade it'd be Ocarina of Time 3D style.

I loved a Link to the Past! A sequel would be great!!!

I just want a new game instead of remakes... but guess I'll go for MM.

Not played either ALttP or MM before so yeah. A sequel wouldn't matter to me 'cause I've not played ALttP...

Well, first of all it's debatable whether these votes will actually reach Nintendo. It's also debatable whether they'll care. Nintendo is a Japanese company who cares about selling games in Japan. Even then, IGns legitimacy is highly questionable, which is a factor in both of the things I just mentioned.

On one hand, Majora's Mask is my favorite entry in the series, and one of my top ten of all time. On the flip side, seeing A Link to the Past remastered would be pretty awesome. Opting for Link to the Past, because if we're just going to remake games, we might as well see the one that gets upgraded the most.

I think I sounded more antagonistic to remakes than I really meant to be. I actually wouldn't mind a remake of a good game at all (heck, one of the main reasons I bought a 3DS was to get the remake of Star Fox 64)

I'd really love all of those, but if I really had to choose, it would be Majora's Mask. (Be more awesome if it was remade for the Wii U) It would be cool for them to release LttP as a 3D classic, tho.
