That's people for you. They don't think before they speak... or type, in this instance, which is even worse, honestly. They have more time to actually think out how to reply.

That would require actual reading. Something many human beings who roam the internet decide is far too much work for them to actually do. I mean they're already sitting on their ass, moving their fingers as fast as lightning, and straining their eyes, just to see the screen! Why make them do more work than they're already doing?

This. So much this. On a forum, you have every reply available to you, unlike a conversation, you can also stop and do research, and make as many revisions as you want. The only drawback comes from misreading, or misunderstanding the tone of the writing.

I wish people actually thought about that, instead of writing things 100 times worse than what they would actually say...
