What if.....The Xehanort saga had ended with KH2?

Posted

At the end of KH2, most of the loose ends were tied up, and with Xemnas killed, it could have easily been the end of Xehanort for good. What if they just ended the Xehanort saga here, and didn't make BBS, Days, Coded or DDD? Instead, they continued Sora's story, and kept on making games, but just had a different villain (or villains).

Do you think it would have been okay if they had done this?

NO!

Why on earth would people prefer to have less KH games? I would've hated for it to have stopped at KH2. Days was a nice addition and BbS was amazing. Not to mention DDD. Probably could've done without Re:Coded but hey, at least we got an extra KH game.

To be honest, i liked Re:Coded, since it sets up the stage for Dream Drop Distance.

After KHFM2 they had to make BBS and the other games.

I like how everything turned out

B-But...then Axel! D':

NO.

Besides BBS and Days were too epic to not have been made.

Mmm...it wouldn't have been as interesting. Half the fun is watchin events happen or relate to whatever happend in the previous one. I want to have my mind and emotions toyed with!! D':

We're too far into the saga for us to really perceive how the series could've gone in another direction. I'm waiting to see what's next in this saga, but I suppose maybe another direction could've made for a more solid story, at least in terms of execution.

Then again, there would be no BBS and that is unacceptable, so no.

I think we could of done without coded/re:coded story wise.

And also I'm pretty surprised how they could make more games. I would think that they're running out of movies. From what I think, they'll probably take ideas from pixar films and tv shows or revisit worlds. Other than that, tbh i don't think the franchise could last very long (unless they introduce the marvel universe).

Pixar is amazing and Nomura already said he wanted to include Pixar worlds, and Marvel... just no. Disney already said they wanted to keep Marvel and Disney separate. Nomura has a lot of ideas in his head so he can keep it going forever if he wanted to and it'd still be epic :3 And there's TONS of Disney movies that haven't been in KH, its gonna be really hard to run out of them. xD

By the way, I didn't mean that there would be any less games. I meant there would be the same amount of games, but all taking place after KH2. Or maybe there could have been BBS, but the old man in the game is not Xehanort but another villain.

Well they probably couldve tied it up all together in the end of KH2. But now that im into the story i need to know how it ends.

They sure can do something like that when they finish the Xehanort-Saga - however, it seems like Sora will still be the hero. Nothing against Sora, but I have the feeling that he steals to much (show) time from the other characters.

you've got a list of disney movie ideas for the franchise? im actually curious what other things they could put in besides pixar.

There are a lot of Disney movies that haven't been done. Even recent ones such as the Princess and the Frog, Tangled (I'd actually really like a Tangled world) and the upcoming Wreck It Ralph.

It'd be really simple, really. Those new characters (TAV, Xehanort and Vanitas) simply could have factored into the next series.

I'll be honest... I kind of would have preferred that.

(I mean, we have no way of knowing weird old bald guy is Xehanort, give him a enw name and we have a new villain)

Yeah, that's kind of how I feel. They overcomplicated a lot of things with BBS and DDD by choosing not to end Xehanort's story in KH2.
