Do you prefer to play as Sora or Riku in KH3D?

 

Both of them are fine

Riku due to the Riku-only commands, besides they are better than Sora's exclusive commands. Although Sora would be my choice when it comes to Dream Eaters as with Riku, it gets useless except for a few bosses.

I'll be quite honest here.

Before the game, I was sure I'd enjoy playing as Riku the most. But for some reason, I found Sora's gameplay more entertaining. I was really surprised when I found myself enjoying playing Sora's side more.

This was my first time playing as Riku. I still prefer Sora, but I also like Riku.

Anyone is fine. It's Kingdom Hearts. Any character is good for me.

Yeah, I totally just phoned that in guys...sorry. But seriously I love it because we've never really gotten to play as him before, besides CoM (card battles don't count) and Mission mode of Days (They was super fun). I do like a lot of his moves, and he is quicker. I hate how it takes a bit longer to get him some of his specialty moves, whereas Sora's are pretty easy to set up.

I have enjoyed playing both Riku and Sora. Each character has there own unique fighting style, which was a fun addition to the game. Riku's commands are quick and precise. While Sora's commands are whimsical and fun , yet still effective. I love each style and hope to be able to play as Sora and Riku in KH3. :wub:

I honestly don't have a favourite.

Playing as Riku is funky fresh.

And playing as Sora is comfoting and homy.... I like both...

i like playing as Riku cuz im sick of playing as SORA!!!! His combat is cool to!

couldn't play him in Re:CoM (because no EU release) so I enjoyed every minute in DDD with him

Both... because Riku's attacks are cooler... but Sora's story has Xemnas XDDD

In Japan, cutting your hair means a new beginning.

Riku, I think. Except the invincibility with Sora's link attacks makes them much more effective, and watching him bounce on a giant Meowjesty is admittedly kinda entertaining.

Riku is better. Dark commands, better links, more challenging bosses.

no offensive but sora proved he was pretty homosexual in this game, but not as much as joshua. Now riku just proved that he was badass.

Sora, because I had a bad experience with Riku at (in) Monstro... *Blackout at the Boss - Fight and cutscene after it*

But I like the Water and Blade Charge Styles from/of Riku and the never ending final fight

Bleh! It's so tied for me. Starting off I loved Soras just because of the more color in the first worlds, but in the Sorcery world Riku's was better. As Sora I had Thunderaffe and linked with it, while he was on the clouds (riding the pony-look-alike Thunderaffe) I literally thought: "all he needs is a rainbow". I laughed so hard....so hard. Linking with Spirits is more fun with Sora. Because most of Rikus commands don't take a while to load (grr salvation) I liked his better. So far, I think Rikus dialogue is more inspiring too. He says a lot of wise things that is cool to hear when I think of him in KH1. ...Maybe I'm leaning a bit toward Riku...

Let's be honest here. It's not even fair on Sora's side, because we've played as Sora so much at this point that Riku is a nice change of pace.

Riku's story was better, but he just kept dying. I died more as him than Sora, and I hated his boss battles at the end. But I love his link powers.

I definitely prefer Riku to Sora in this title. Riku not only felt more natural to use in combat situations, he also had the most difficult bosses in the game. Now, Sora has his own strengths when it comes to Spirit Linking( you had that much needed period of invincibility, whereas Riku was vulnerable even in his spirit linking), and Sora also fought more of the Disney based bosses, but Riku had the honor of fighting those all important battles that made up the final boss sequence. Riku also had the deeper story since, well, we all remember how much of a douche he was in Kingdom Hearts...so it was very welcome to show his growth throughout the series. Perhaps we will be able to play with good'ol Riku in KH3?
