Okay so I'm sitting here playing KH3D and I'm all like not having a problem with Hayley Joel Osment

 

And then my friend is all like nah man its someone else doing Sora's voice.

So what I'm wondering is if this is true.

I personally haven't finished the game yet so I haven't seen the credits. But maybe those that have can tell me.

I hope it is still Hayley because I like him.

Tell your friend to can it. The only person to ever do Sora's voice is Haley Joel Osmet. He's just grown up, and instead of seeing dead people he sees Disney people.

Haley Joel Osment still voices Sora.

 

It's just that his voice has matured a bit.

Just because Sora doesn't look any older doesn't mean that the voice actors stop aging altogether lol

To me, Haley Joel Osment tried a little too hard to sound younger for KH3D. He didn't try nearly as hard when voicing Sora in Re:CoM.

 

I understand that 3D was released five years after Re:CoM, but by 2007, Osment had a deep enough voice for many fans to joke about Sora going through puberty at such an alarming rate (immediately following KH1).

 

But, still... I imagine this is why some are not sure whether another voice actor was cast in Osment's place for 3D.

Yeah it's still Haley Joel Osment that voices Sora. But since puberty hit him with shovel, and he has to make a voice for Young Sora, he adapted his voice and the result was KH3D new Sora's voice!

the German voice actor still sounds like years ago when he spoke Sora in KHII

but yeah....we don't have German dub anymore...so we can't enjoy the voices in our language :angry:

I didn't say that this isn't the case I said that voice actors are like normal actors because they "act" but of course only with their voice

here in Germany a lot of normal actors or even comedians do voice acting for films from Disney, Ghibli (only the ones that get a cinema release) or some Anime and US Series like Dr. House etc

you could say...they are doing both but "actor" is their main job

I must say towards the end now listening to Old Sora in flashbacks and whatever and comparing it to DDD Sora he does sound like he is putting on a little bit of a voice for DDD Sora and I have to say it is wonderful.

 

Plus he has the best voice for Old Sora.
