I've only just noticed that the only final fantasy characters in KH3D are moogles. I guess they were replaced by the TWEWY characters but still... I don't really mind but I think that maybe in KH III they should add more FF characters or even a ff based world... After all, Kingdom hearts is becoming less of a merge between FF and Disney and is more of a merge with Disney and Kingdom Hearts characters themselves....

Honestly its not like there is suppose to be exactly 50% Disney and 50% FF.. FF basicaly serves as 'cameos' in the KH universe . The characters personas in KH arent even canon in FF .. However I do expect to see FF back in KH3 without a doubt .

Well they are using the crystal tools so I believe they should take time to put more final fantasy in (FF10!). And it was kind of a merge in kingdom hearts 1 since there were FF characters on the Island, In traverse town and colliseum. I just hope if they put FF characters they give us someone new.

Honestly its not like there is suppose to be exactly 50% Disney and 50% FF.. FF basicaly serves as 'cameos' in the KH universe . The characters personas in KH arent even canon in FF .. However I do expect to see FF back in KH3 without a doubt .

since Leon and the others are citizens of Radiant Garden I'm pretty sure they'll appear in KH3

Personally, due to what they did with Laguna (Didn't put him in BBS because they had him in Dissisdia 012) I can't really tell WHO they'd put in the next KH game. I loved Zack in BBS, and also really enoyed how they had he and Cloud stemming from the same world.

 

I persoanlly would love to see some people from 12; Balthier, Ashe, and Basch to be precise . Cecil and Kain from 4 would be cool, mostly because Kain should be in everything . Faris from 5 would be nifty, but her cross dressing would potentially cause problems. Anyone else from VI would be great, but Cyan and Edgar would be the best. I don't really want more VIII characters, I just want them to unbastardise Seifer so he and Squall can have an epic battle like Cloud and Sephiroth.

The one ff character that would suit this game perfectly is warrior of light from dissidia. Lost memories, excellent moral character, and a.possible boss battle with chaos *drool*

I agree, if you're talking mostly about where they're from and things/people they know. Of course they weren't really from those places and that is completely noncannon. Just like Dissidia isn't supposed to be cannon for any of the characters there.

 

Personality wise, to me, they did great it translating over everyone and kept how they act, talk, posture, etc very cannon. I may not see the idiosyncrasies you may see, but I'm super hyper anylitcal of FF characters being in and out of character (this is why i stopped reading fanfiction). I think maybe some people see Squall being out of character, but I find that they went more on how he was acting by the very end of FFVIII. He was a lot more open, for him anyway, and was capable of forming sentences that DIDN'T only consist of ellipses.

I understood that. I suppose you using the word persona threw me off, seeing as I associate persona with personality and how they act, not so much their setting or their actions. I agreed that their setting isn't cannon, that's a given.

I'd like to see a FF world and Shibuya in KH3.

 

With Shibuya I'd like to see a slight battle style change to kinda match the TWEWY battle style, (which was really awesome and unique BTW)

Past final fantasy characaters don't appear in new final fantasy games unless they're direct sequals; its a new cast for each new number. I hear people complain a lot that Kingdom Hearts has more disney than final fantasy...when in reality, most of its original, as most new final fantasy games are. The characters are just there for cameos and they're usually altered to fit the universe and to be less powerful than pretty much all keyblade wielders. And they made Yuna and co. a bunch of fairies but they did that specifically to make them just cameos without hogging the attention. If they were there for real...well, it would just distract from the game. I doubt there will be many worlds based on final fantasy with final fantasy characters as teammates, but we'll see. I have mixed feelings about that. And its almost a given that no Final Fantasy character will have a keyblade--Mickey only has one because he's the most iconic of the Disney characters and is part of the main story. I don't see any final fantasy characters really being part of the main story like that rather than having brand new characters.

Cloud is enough like Riku. We don't need Cecil in the mix lol. Nomura probably wouldn't use characters from older final fantasy games, he only likes using his own characters (which I love, but you get to the point where they all start to seem like the same person)

the Cloud of KH is different than the FFVII one

 

in KH Aerith never died but maybe Zack did die.....like in FFVII after Zack's death cloud was sad(until he had some of Zack's persona because of Jenova cells)

maybe Zack died some time after BBS

as for lightning......oh come on ....Mickey wield the keyblade after so many training despite being a steamboat boy at the beginning.......So why a L'cie soldier Can't(I don't mean Fal'cie in KH....that would suck)
