August 29, 201213 yr Actually....Yen Sid did say in the ending that both Sora and Riku deserved the mark......but Riku ended up taking it since he dived to save Sora and didn't have Xemnas and YMX to f.u.c.k up with him since Ansem SoD appeared to him in the end..........Sora just failed because the organization and MX was targeting him the whole time........................actually I think we'll start with Sora as a Master in the beginning of KH3 and later on they'll explain how he got the mark but overall....he don't need a title to kick Xehanort's ass.....he saved almost 20 worlds....beats all of the members of Organiztion XIII(except of Zexion & Lexaeus) and defeated both Ansem & Xemnas not to mention he has done things that the other masters couldn't even pull of on their own if Sora's abilities wasn't reset for the Mark of Mastery test(thanks to Yen Sid who made him an easy target for Xehanort) he would've beaten the crap out of Young Xehanort in no time
August 29, 201213 yr Here's a what if: What if Master Yen Sid was in on this the whole time? O.o I really don't see Sora being a master and as others have stated, he just doesn't seem to be the kind of guy to care if he's a master or not.
August 29, 201213 yr also another Note: Sora has left not to train as everyone assume...he said he has an unfinished business to do.............after all he and Riku unlocked all the sleeping world...I don't think he went on his own just to save the same worlds again just for a stupid rank of mastery after all....he saw TAV & Roxas+Xion....he might went on a journey to save them so maybe Sora went on to gather the remaining wielders so in KH3 we'll gonna have TAV RAX already on our side instead of wasting time in saving them in KH3

August 29, 201213 yr actually...from a chronological perspective....Sora Did become a master with Riku...they both closed the keyhole of the sleeping world and obtained the new power....only Yen sid approved Riku because he tested his new obtained power on Sora so he see if he can free him and use this new power effectivly in short: if Xehanort didn't showed up( a thing that was yen sid's fault not to predict) Sora would've already approved of in fact: Yen sid himself said that this isn't the real way the mark of mastery test is done....he just used them to set the sleeping worlds free otherwise...as the real MOM exam...Sora & Riku should've had an examination Duel like Terra & Aqua
