I'm actually wondering the same thing, and I don't have money to buy a psp or BBS. I would like to know as well.

In the beginning of BBS, when Sora's heart healed Ven, it had an affect on Vanitas as well. It changed his appearance to that of a darker version of Sora. Before that, he really would have looked a lot like a Heartless. If Riku did it, Vanitas would look like Riku. Hell, if Kairi did it, he'd look like Kairi.

Because when Ventus was left to die in Destiny Islands, {Ventus was dying because his heart was fractured due to the creation of Vanitas} Sora's heart came into contact with Ventus. Sora was just a newborn at the time, hence why Sora said "I'm a brand new heart." Remember, that all this took place four years before the actual events of Birth by Sleep {stated in Xehanort report}. When Sora's heart touched and healed Ventus' heart, Vanitas was effected in return. Vanitas had no face before Sora's heart. Vanitas just looked like a heartless, but with red eyes. So when Sora's heart healed Ventus, Vanitas was gifted with Sora's face due to the connection.

Hahahahaha. Oh my god it's to much.

Well, I saw the cut scenes, but I didn't know that the heart at the beginning was Soras. I mean, I thought maybe it was like a year ago or something, not the day of Sora's birth.

Hey, leave him alone. He doesn't understand and that's fine. He doesn't own the game's and he is just asking a rather confusing question most people don't understand.
