In KH 1, why did light come out of the Door to Darkness? It NEVER explained that to my knowledge. And why were they talking to the DtD like it WAS Kingdom Hearts? (Ansem saying "KH fill me with darkness" and whatnot, talking to the door...) I'm pretty sure KH and the DtD are two completely different things entirely. Wtf am I missing here?

Actually according to the DDD mementos the KH in KH1 was artificial just like the KH in KH2..The KH in KH1 was made from the hearts of the worlds and the KH in KH2 was made from the hearts of people. So neither of them were the original KH

If you listen to the whole story Kairi's grandma tells (err...read it), it tells that the true light (Kingdom Hearts) sleeps within the deepest darkness; Sora was able to awaken that light to defeat Ansem.

 

So just in case people were wondering why Sora deserves to be a keyblade master. He called light out of the Realm of Darkness. Yeah.

No, no, no! The two doors don't even look that much alike! The Door to Darkness in KH1 and the door that appears in front of the artificial kingdom Hearts in KH2 are not the same. The one in kh1 was a door to darkness, ie the Realm of Darkness, not necessarily Kingdom Hearts itself. Kingdom Hearts was somewhere beyond that door to darkness, within the realm of darkness.

IDK, everything we've dealt with is fake and a lie, we learn so little every game and are just bombarded with more questions...there is so much of this actually discussed in-game that its ridiculous. So far, this game shouldn't even be called Kingdom Hearts, it should just be called Xehanort, 'cause that's all we've been focusing on, we don't even know what Kingdom Hearts is but everybody wants it rant over. Its not the original KH --its one that is manufactured ..The original KH wasnt manufactured and didnt need made ..It existed period whereas the KH Ansem created wouldnt have existed at all naturally if it had not been artificially made..Also IMO i think this was actually a retcon ...Point is you cannot argue that it wasnt artificial bc it was said in game and is canon regardless that its artificial

*headdesk* I give up trying to understand. Well, anyway, I guess this Kingdom Hearts artificial or not would still have light (hearts of worlds), so that's what Sora summoned and again Sora is awesome lol

Here I was thinking I understood the series and I forgot that this one part makes no sense to me.

It was more like bad translating in this case. There's a topic talking about it on KHI and apparently it was mentioned all the way back in KH1 that that Kingdom Hearts was in fact "fake" but it wasn't mentioned in the English translation.

I know, I'm not debating whether it's fake or not, just stating that it was presented in KH1 at one point but the translation made it confusing~
