The only thing Disney did was that they bought LucasFilms that's all, they will probably just give a budget to the producer and staff to start filming, hiring actors, etc.

They won't ruin the Star Wars franchise. Whoever they chose as the director, he or she will get help from the staff of LucusFilms if the staff still have a job that is.
