Before i start if you don't know what this rant is about it's basicly about how apparently Psy had some quote "anti-american" lyrics in one of his song's and now everyone is raging over it (sorry im on 3ds so if you want to read about it just go to CNN.com or whatever)

Now i just want to say im on neither side here im just pointing out facts. Also this isn't aimed at anyone but if you feel the urge to put nasty replys your just proving you can't handle peoples opinions and need to become more mature.

*sigh* here we go

Now i just wanna know why is it that everyone get so offended by anti-american song lyrics comin from someone not from america? But then when Green Day sings about "bringing down the system" or "mind firetrucked america" and good old Kanye West rap about america being a "White man's world" nobody really cares? it's almost hypocritical face it you don't care about whatever americans say or do but then you all offended whenever someone spills their opinion about america now im just saying this America isn't exactly the most loved country in the world if you know what i mean. so really thats how feel about this whole thing so now let the "your a anti-american" come floodin in!

Can't say I know exactly what this line is or anything about it really, but just having seen Psy's reaction to being on the Ellen Degenres show and how he came over here for a while because of his popularity, he didn't seem to come off as anti-american. He came off like coming to America was something he had been looking forward to doing. Besides, why should it matter if he likes America or not? He doesn't live here and he doesn't have to. He's allowed to have an opinion.

Edit: Just looked up the article and yeah what was said was kinda bad. But, still all it is is lyrics and he said that in a song nearly 9 years ago. Fact still stands, you don't like it don't listen to his music.

First of all, people were offended by those other artist, second of all, isn't Green Day Canadian? And third of all, the other artists weren't invited to a special dinner at the White House.

The last one is the main reason

Never heard of it but whatever, PSY is cool.

well the song was made nine years ago, and in Korea, some of his songs were banned (due to heavily explicit material).

But He was an immature brat back then, he's different today, and he seems to be cool with America. In fact, he has plans on writing a song in english.

Psy's cool in my book. Gangnam Style FTW.

Pay was actually working with Kim Jong Il back then. So they shared their anti-American love. But now he's dead and Psy doesn't like Kim Jong Un's pudgy cheeks so he doesn't get involved with him.

It was quite a big thing within the kpop community back in the day, but it was dealt with nicely. Even though this situation is happening again, I don't see it going big as before. I respect PSY for who he was and I can see him going higher from there. He's changed throughout the years and he will always be quite the lovable guy.

I don't think there's something Amon doesn't know.  Legit.

Thanks but I don't know a lot of things, but I'm always learning.

I think everyone is being ridiculous when going nuts over this. Psy is pretty genuinely sorry for what he wrote, and to quote my Dad, 20 years olds are a lot different from 30 years olds. His life, views, temperment, ect have probably changed drastically from the years ago in which he sung those lyrics.

I agree with Think Pink.  It's just song - why go nuts about it?  And the fact that it was nine years ago makes the thing even more stupid.
