Hey guys, how's it going?  So hey, yesterday, I went with my brother and sister in law and nephew and niece to see the movie The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.  I've gotta say that it's one heck of an epic movie, and Peter Jackson hasn't lost his touch.  He's an extraordinary film director, and the cast is pretty good.  My personal favorite in the movie is Ian Mckellen, who does the role of Gandalf. (The frickin epic wizard!)  Anyways, I won't spoil anything for you guys, because the movie is just so awesome, but I recommend you to see it, because it's amazing.  And if you've seen the Lord of the Rings before, you'll see many things in The Hobbit that will remiind you of The Lord of the Rings.  So if you haven't seen it yet, then now's the time to do so! :D

I heard the first hour of the movie has to be the cast inside of Bilbos house.

For an hour.

An hour.

I practically didn't notice if it was an hour or not, but the movie was good.  They're going to make two more I presume, because they didn't finish the story completely.

I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!

It was close enough to the book to be familiar and beautiful, and to enable some inside jokes.

At the same time, it was different enough to still be suspenseful and exciting.

While it had the Lord of the Rings style to it, it was much more lighthearted, which I enjoyed immensely.

AND THOSE LEITMOTIFS.  HOWARD SHORE <3 <3 <3

And that was one of my favorite parts.  Unless you count the whole movie.  >:}

DESOLATION OF SMAUG, COME TO MEEEEEE!!!!

I'm thinking of buying the DVD (or seeing it in theaters one day) xD

It seems really great, I love LoTR. 8D

THAT PART WAS FREAKING AWESOME!

BUT YEAH THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING! I ABSOULUTELY LUVED IT! Fav movie of 2012 for me.

I haven't seen the Hobbit yet, but I am planning on watching it.

I..............slept through half that movie >______< lol

Granted I had to get up at like 6 that morning and then had to work a full shift before seeing the movie, it did drag just a bit for my already fatigued eyes. Im going to wait till it hits dollar theaters here before trying to see it again.

I did catch glimpses though. Like the Gollum/Bilbo bit. Though funny, it went a bit too long to me.

Now, I havent read the books so maybe the length of some of these scenes were needed. But to draw out one book to THREE movies?! = Wow lol

AAAAHYOURTITLEBLUEWIZARD!!!!  How fares it in the east?

I always wished he had given them a story, but I guess the mystery is half the fun.

I like to think that they succeeded.  ;;

I saw the Hobbit at midnight, and I gotta tell you, when it got the credits, I felt like I only lost an hour, not three, that's how invested I was. Not a dull moment, and the colors and imagery was beautiful!

My favorite part was when Bilbo manages to escape Gollum and he overhears the Dwarfs talking about how he must've left back home since he doesn't belong with them, and he pulls off the ring and says, "Your right, I do talk about home a lot, and I do miss it. But that's why I am here, because you don't have a home." AHHH Heart=melted!

My concern with The Hobbit is how the heck are they going to turn it into 3 movies when they are already at the halfway point in the book?

My guess is that they are going to have the second movie go all the way up to Smaug's defeat, then stretch the battle that comes afterwards (Battle of the Five Armies, I believe its called) out to be most of the third movie.

Everything's going great! Yeah, everyone gets along, and nothing bad ever happens. I mean, we had some Orc troubles before, but we talked it out, and now we're all cool.

How's things going in the west?

Yeah. I think they might also add some more side stories to add to the length.  I thought the movie was awesome when I saw it.

Ah, same old.  Just sitting here, letting you Istari do all the work.

Olórin tried to pull the I-Died card, but we just sent him straight back.

Simple. The third movie will be fanfiction by Peter Jackson about his OC
