So... The secret movie at the end of Dream Drop Distance... Shows another game? I realize it says "Reconnect: Kingdom Hearts" But... Does that mean that there will be another game before the well and anticipated true and final Kingdom Hearts 3?

From my understanding, KH3 is the next new installment (The KH HD remixes don't count).  KH: Reconnect is Kh3 as far as I'm concerned.  I'd imagine it stands for returning things to as they were, resolving the hurt.

Wait are you sure you got the right games secret ending only BBS's secret ending refers to Reconnect.

I thought that Nomura said the next game would be Kh3.

That got me confused too, so I watched the secret ending of DDD again. It does say Reconnect as well. I think it was you who said Kh3 would be the next game

Yeah I watched it as well I think Reconnect refers to KH3 as it is supossed to tie up everything within the Xehanort Saga.

Actually, I think BbS, Re:Coded, and DDD all say the "Reconnect" thing. Days seems to be the only recent game that hasn't (though it's understandable to me why it wouldn't have). Though I get why people think "Reconnect" is III (and it could be), I always took it to mean "Connect this new information you just learned with everything else you know, to see the big picture." But that might just be my interpretation. -shrugs-

Anyway, I'm pretty sure III's the next game (after the HD Remixes and aside from the PC browser game, of course).

I guess that makes sense, it might be because those end after Kh2, depending on if Mickey wrote the letter after being told to summon Sora and Riku for the Mark of Mastery. And 3 "Reconnects" at the endings in 3 different games link to KH3. 3 everywhere

Agreed.

As far a new games that continue the story line, I thought that KH3 was supposed to be the next game

Well as far as i know Reconnect is Kingdom Hearts 3 but i am not sure ......

Like you guys said, Reconnect seems like a hint for KH3, the game where everything will be settled, and literaly reconnected xD

I think Reconnect means that this last games(BBS,Re:Coded and DDD) are filling blank points in the series story, like,BBS told the story of Master Xehanort and his evil plans, explained why sora, riku and kairi are able to wield a keyblade and so on.Re:Coded introduced the future of the series and DDD, well...you know, they take the Mark of Mastery, they discover about Terra,Aqua and Ventus, the true meaning of the Organization...I think that's the meaning of Reconnect. And by the way, during the credits of DDD,it tells: "This leads to kingdom hearts" and in the end Sora and riku walking into the light, you can see the shape of number 3 ^.^

Am I the only one who think of memories and links in the Hearts every time I hear 'Reconnect'?

I think Reconnect refers to to KH3, the proper next installment that isn't a remix.

Wow... You all had wonderful replies, but I do believe that "Reconnect" may be Kingdom Hearts III. I just thought maybe they were gonna throw in yet another side story. Which would only stall fans like us, a little too long. (As if they haven't already)

There are games before that said Reconnect.

The term "reconnect" that we see at the end is a Nomura way of saying "put it all together" for the series. This is also in the secret episodes for BbS and Re: coded.

Reconnect is at the end of all the cut scenes leading up to kingdom hearts 3, it's a way of getting everything together as previous people said.

kh3ds ending leads directly to beginning of kh3. There was supposed to be BBSv2 which was set chronologically before kh3d, but according to Nomura its not going to happen. Reconnect might be name of kh3 as Nomura once said that kh3 would possibly have name.

KH3 will be the game to line the pieces up, and put everything in its place. Characters who were dealt bad hands in regards to their fate will be given peace of mind... it will literally reconnect everything that has -or will be- torn apart. It's a word to describe how it will all come together, not the name of a game...
