Do your parents control what games you buy?

Well no, but I mostly play RPGs so it's ok.

And you?

I would never even want to buy a game with a lot of sex or violence.

  • Not really since most of them are RPGs. Plus, they are the ones buying them most of the time.

When I was young (lol) my father tried to but he gave up when I was around 12.

"No, Henne, no Half Life and GTA for you."

"But Vogel and Strauss (aka my older brothers) play those games! I want toooo!"

"Yeah, okay... you can play GTA."And so I did, when I was seven years old - ah, good old times. There my big lovely eyes had some good use.

My parents were not happy that I played (such) video games as a girl. But my grades were still good in school so there was no reason to stop.

I play a lot of visual novels, so my parents always want to make sure they're not hentai or anything.

When it comes to RPGs, they don't really care what I buy.

I've never played a game rated higher than my age, except one game that was 16+ in Europe but 13+ in USA.

I'm allowed to buy what I want, I pay for it with my own money I earn, and any money they give me I can spend as I see fit, including alcohol etc.

Even when I was younger and my mother would actually purchase games for me, if I told her what I wanted she wouldn't go "oh no you're not having that".  I was playing Leisure Suite Larry like at 14 or something.  I bedded twin cheerleaders (Y)

don't have parents - so there isn't a voting option for me. A a kid I was in boarding school so I just ordered whatever games and DVDs I wanted online so I was never restricted from age 12 upwards. In all honesty, I didn't want anything I couldn't have before I was 13 anyways!

 NICE! xD

My mother : Sometimes

My father : No

the only m game i like playing are the persona 4 games and they are rpgs but they are still m games ergo they have sexual refrences but the game rocks tho.

I'm 23 years old and live nowhere near my parents, so not really,90% of my games and RPG anyways ;)

Nope. Not that I play or buy any games after the T-rating. Most of the time, it's E-rated (Pokemon, KH).

I'm 17 and I'll be 18 in 6 months time so no parental control over games soon. But they did not cared about it even before so meh..

My parents could care less about the things I buy, to be honest. xD

I don't buy anything with inappropriate content, though. .__.

Good boy, here you got a lolly.  :P I can only talk about the past, which makes me feel even older among those kiddos.   I had a strict video game oppression when I was young  which made me over compensate it in my old days.   <_< I caught up everything I guess. Nearly da whole Kingdom Hearts series and lots of Final Fantasy, including FFX FFX-2 FFX-2 international + last mission, FFXII, FF Type-0.

I don't have to worry about that. xD

Haha. My parents really don't care. They don't want me to buy games either way but I do when I have the money. Usually steam or something really awesome I found.
