Anybody else kind of disappointed by Kingdom Hearts X/Kingdom Hearts for PC Browsers?

Posted

When I think of a Kingdom Hearts Online game, I want something epic like World of Warcraft with PvP a ton of worlds, epic graphics, a huge story, the Keyblade Wars! Instead, we got this.

Doesn't look bad, but I just wanted something more. I wanted a big immersive experience similar to World of Warcraft or the Star Wars MMO with a ton of cool attacks and clans and classes and crap like that. Anybody else disappointed a bit? Or is it just me?

I'm excited for it. They're finally bringing cards back and if it works like com I am just gonna get it on day 1. I'm not all too dissapointed yet. I mean, we don't even know too much about it yet so there is still more to see and that can definitely make the game better.

From what I've seen it looks fine to me, though I can see the point you're trying to make.

Yeah, they could of totally wen't 3D with this like most MMO's. Instead they just went with the crappy mobile game set up, it's the only thing KH I really don't care about.

But that's just my opinion xD

Well, Kingdom Hearts might just be trying something different. Even if its not as epic or grandiose as other mmo's, that doesn't mean it won't be fun. Although, I do agree with you on one point. It shouldn't be about the Keyblade War. I mean, come on. When I think of something as hyped up as the Keyblade War, this game is the LAST thing that would ever come to my mind.

nah not really, im kinda excited for it owo

Well it is a side game so if it does mention the keyblade war or x-blade it's probably just going to be little facts, nothing really big or important to the story

I'm really excited for it, actually! We haven't got any video footage of it yet, and that's from the early stages of development anyway. I'm sure there'll be tons of content to explore and epic action, specially since it's a real time MMO.

I think you should try not to judge it just yet, since we haven't seen anything, though owo

This is still in development. These are only Alpha screenshots. And this is not considered a major title in the series.

World of Warcraft is a terrible comparison. Since it runs on your computer whilst Kingdom Hearts is in your browser. Plus this game will be free-to-play.

If it were an actual MMO then people would bitch about it being Pay-to-play, especially considering SE do this with their MMOs. Sure this browser game isn't what most people want but it's there for people to play if they want to. I personally can see myself playing it because I like the card system and I like the idea of creating a keyblade master.

At the end of the day, it's free-to-play, it's a spin-off and it's not affecting the development of other KH titles. So why be upset?

In an ideal world i'd have liked a full blown RPG with designing your own characters in high detail, but seeing as this will be like a side story/not relevant and free, they wouldn't pour a lot of funding into something that'd make them no cash, animation is expensive, Pixar made 150 million on a movie but it wasn't enough to cover the productions and people got sacked it'd be the same way for this.

If we were willing to pay for it and wait longer who knows, but as a free spin-off they're not gonna put lots of effort and time into it

I really think something like this would've been REALLY cool.

I have no clue. I think it's fan art. I just googled Kingdom Hearts MMO in google images and this came up.

I'm okay with it. As others have mentioned it's a free browse game that's just meant to be enjoyed on the side as the first true none canon story. Any more advanced and we'd have ton pay for it. Not to mention there's not a lot of information for it yet, it could be really cool.

It's a real thing called Disney Fantasy Online though it's apparently Chinese only. It looks interesting though:

Ok, that looks really cool! If only it was released internationally.

No, I actually am not. I am actually pretty excited for it. Even though it is not canon, it's still exciting.
