Hey there! These are the signups for my newest RP concept; The Experiment. It's a new world and concept unrelated to any game or show, if you read the brief below you'll learn more about the concept, and if you're at all interested, hopefully you'll sign up as well!

 

"In the modern day, everything seems as it should be. It is not. Every day the world refuses to agknowledge the prescence of those stronger than them. Smarter than them. Better than them. You see, what we think of as humanity is not entirely human. A very small percentage of them are more. They have abilities beyond normal capacity or even understanding. Flight, telepathy, elemantal control... you name it. Why do they have these abilities? No-one knows. Well, no-one except me. You may call me Xi. I know about these abilities, and I know who has them. Why do I know these things? I won't tell now, all in due time.

 

It is what I have done with this information that is worth telling you. I have kidnapped several of these "special" people. They've all been put on a small island- what was once a military base. It's made up of beaches and runways, bunkers and palm trees. There's more to this island than meets the eye, and that is why I've put these people here. They have been selected. Selected for The Experiment. They cannot leave until it is finished. Until I have what I seek from them. There is a secret to these people that even they do not know themselves; a secret more amazing than even their powers. So what is this secret? What is that I seek? It is time to find out. Through their interactions, through their compassion and their fury they shall play my game, and it is a game of which I shall be the only winner.

If that brief at all intrigues you, please read the rules and create a character, the more the better!

 

Rules

• The major rule is this; please enjoy yourself. Stick around as much as you can- the more that everyone posts the more the story can advance, so have a good time and don't be afraid to have your character make some strange or interesting decisions, it will only make the RP more interesting.
• Interact with other people. Please don't spend all your time having your character reflect on their troubled past or such. This RP is about the characters and their relationships and interactions, and it will work much better if you take an interest in the story being told by everyone, not just yourself.
• Your character's power cannot cause an unfair advantage over other players. Time-stopping is an exmaple of a power that could out-match just about any other one. Create your power, but make it limited, that will make it all the more interesting when powers are used against each other and fights are even.
• Go with the flow. People will make their own choices and the story will encounter a few twists and turns. It's more interesting when characters have to deal with thos twists naturally.
• General RP Rules of course apply.

Okay, here is Rasiel's brother, Karu...

 

Name: Karu Kasaragi

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Power: Technopathy- Ability to manipulate technology. Manifested as a special form of electrical/telekinetic manipulation, allows interaction with machines, or even a psychic ability that allows for mental interface with computer data. Basically hack. This is how he controls Rasiel's collar. And Empathy...which allows him to read one's emotions.

Bio: Karu is Rasiel's brother, having to deal with her everyday. Karu is far more mature then her and actually acts his age. He usually gets things done easily, and he knows Rasiel far too well.

What happened to his father is that he was found on the side of the road, dead, he murdered himself. His father aborted Rasiel's and two younger siblings, behind their backs. Rasiel does not know of this. However, Karu just found this out.

Karu believes that her father's death is what caused Rasiel's game addiction.

I better have some way of making a basic weapon and shield early on if I'm going to survive.

Name: Luce Angelo

 

Age: 16

 

Gender: Male

 

Appearance: Tan with very long, stringy dark-brown hair that runs straight down to his waist. Wears an elaborate black tuxedo with dress shoes and white gloves. Tall and skinny with neon-pink eyes.

 

Power: Aether- Strands of plasma (basically light) that he can manipulate however he wishes within 4 feet from him. The Aether is ridiculously hot and sharper than any solid blade.

 

Bio: Born and raised in Venice, Italy, Luce was the only child of a poor couple. When they learned of his natural mastery over Aether, they exploited him as a theatrical light-show until the family became very rich. Luce never was able to satisfy his abusive parents.

He´s tall with short black spiky hair, brown eyes. He´s wearing a red t-shirt and over it a blue jacket, brown belt and navy pants. On his left side of his belt, he´s holding a bag with drawing tools, and on the right side a blog.

 

Power: Pictomancy. What he draws will become real and under his command for a short period of time. This makes him an ability virtuous in some way... However this take a time to work out, so if he´s interrupted while drawing, he cannot use this. 

 

Bio: He´s a student of college, living on the east coast of USA. He´s good with machines, but his real passion is painting and draw. He´s cheerful and possitive on almost every event, however, this is a facade. As he lurks inside him, the sadness of his past are revealed on the objects that he draw. One day he discovered his ability of materialize things that he drew, using his free time to develop it.
