That's right... I'm looking for something someone stated Nomura had said, and I came across an interview that quotes Nomura saying Days was supposed to be playable. Here's the quote:

"At first I thought about fully remaking Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (hereafter Days) in a form you could actually play." He later goes on to say it would've taken a year alone to port it.

Oh hahaha I just found it out. That's kind of a let down, but at least I have it on DS. And he pretty much confirms 2.5 (But we already knew it was coming) in the same interview, if anyone cares lol

Yeah lol He said when he plays JRPG's he just skips the cutscenes because they take you out of the actual gameplay

I can't remember....... but seems like sometime in 06 or 07 because ever since 07 it's been one game a year....

Yeah, I don't mind just the scenes. It's just I never knew he had intended it to be playable.

The only year we didn't get a KH title somewhere in the world was 2003. However you could consider KHFM to cover that year since it was released in December 2002

Yeah....I figured out Wikipedia listed the games by the Japanese release date which was December 2005....

I would love to replay it in hd and all new rendering, but I would rather have it sooner than wait another year. Plus now my dream of a KH movie is basically real

This 358/2 Days Theatre is not a movie. It is just like a Theatre Mode except you've already unlocked it and you get trophies just for watching them.
